Oh well, the slow road still gets you there.. no need to have it all done in a couple of months.. Don't stretch yourself too thin.

Idea is; map it all out so that you can still drive it, do a little each week and watch it come together in 6-months or a little longer!

well im doing a fast bit within the 3 months i wont have my liscence, taking advantage of a bad circumstance, but before that 3 month period is up I hope to have all I want to do to it done, performance and exterior wise.
Interior to me is a finishing touch, and hopefully i may be able to get it into shows etc, idk, LOONNG time coming, and only ideas at this stage

Okay, need more opinions
6a12 with extractors, CAI, lightened flywheel and pulleys, hd clutch and twin throttle bodies, and upgrade to a evo once i get off my p's, leaving my CE to be p plate legal

or 6g92 with same upgrades to be turbo'd once i get off my p's, maybe twin turb if possible

4g92 maybe?

my vote would be 6a12. leave it stock bar full exhaust and intake and a good compter to tune it with. just be prepared for the costs of the 6a motor

edit (saw res's post): ohh yeah p plate laws, LOLZ, keep it 4g powered. or be a badass mofo and put in the 6a12 (you seem like one :eh: )

really, get your car running first. then go from there.

if it was me (i wouldnt hav blown up the motor to start with) but id put a 4g69 in

you really either A) have no idea about anything or B) are a persistant troll

if your not happy with a modded 6a12 like the one you just mentioned then you are an idiot, 140kw stock with those mods ur looking at 155-160kw with way better powerband and torquez
why would u prgrade to an evo motor from that?!?! idiot that 6aXX would cost like $7K to install and build to that

and its 4g92... not enuf room to TT on a 4 cyl engine..... you are talking about the 6a13 VR4 engine, which comes TT

and finally the 6aXX engines are NOT p-plate legal to convert to

im not a persistant troll, im a noob trying to get my facts/advice straigh before i do anything

and i meant change to an evo 8

ahaha nooo ill be right, ill be *fudge*ed with no powersteering
and im not going outside a 4g92 or 6a12

i'll be honest, in reality you will only be able to afford a 4g94 conversion... thats it
stick to whats possible

you wont find a 4g92 in aus, and 6a12's are impossible to come by with loom/man-gbox

id rather take longer and spend more to get a g92 mivec dohc than getting a 93/4
well scrap the 6a12 idea cause its not legal on my p's anyway

the 4g92 isnt legal either on p's
niether is the 94, on p's your only option is a replacment 93 (becuase it comes form the same series lancer, making it not a 'performance engine swap' which is whats illegal)

and if you want to take longer then go ahead, you will be well off your p's by the time you can get a 92/6a engine in as they are expencive as fk to buy and even more pricey to rebuild
a simple 93-> 94 swap will take you ATLEAST 6months do do right... your looking at 1year->1.5years to convert to 6a/92

4G92 engines are very rare. I think I've seen one come up in the last 6 months and it was 2500 for the half cut, and it got snapped up within a week. Also if this is for a street car you may be disappointed as the engine reaches peak power over 7000 RPM, as they are designed to be very high revving. Great track engine, but for a street engine you'll prob find a 93/4 will be more enjoyable to drive because you get power from the get go.

lol... wait and learn grasshopper, when i got my engine i thort i could get it done in 2 months... it doesnt happen that way in real life tho bud

if you can get it done in a month a will gladly tip my hat to you :p

Have you considered going a 4G93 with DOHC + when you're off your P's you can turbo it.

theres a huge power difference between a worked 92 sohc and turbo when compared to a 4g93 sohc or dohc worked and turbo'd
so if i got the 93, id get a worked 93 non turbo and change cars when i get off my p's
but the 92 id work turbo and keep
