A burnout from a 69Kw engine, not a good mix buddy.. Probably go for the 4G93 atleast then when you 'try' to do a burnout, YOU ACTUALLY WILL :D And not blow the manifold lol..

Just go to fat burger , you can get a burger and fries for 2.95
I like the tuna here..

handbrake+dropped the clutch
if it was a rwd i'd be more used to doing a burnout in it but thats the only way I figured I could do it atm

Fix what you have
4g92/3/4
6a12
Obviously evo swap, but it's expensive and I'm not sure your driving skills would be able to cover it lol

my driving skills arent in question here, i was stupid and drove from brisbane to warwick, with minimum oil levels, was going further, but after the burnout it didnt wanna go anywhere lul

also, (BEWARE, NOOB COMMENT) What are the 4g92/3/4's?
I know theyre engines, but what car are they put in stock etc,
I'm assuming the 6a12 is the evo?

they are put in mitsubishi's

why not do a google... its simple enuf.... go to wiki. type 6a12. read what car its in... repeat for other engine numbers

also ur an idiot for not checking ur oil, no excuses poor care taken of that car and i feel sorry for it, probably siezed u arsehat

its still running, just i wince every time it runs, so i dont
i checked it before I left, didn't know that by Warwick, half of the minimum would have disappeared, figured they use less oil then that usually
and yea i did

well next time drop into a servo/supercheap/autorice before the main leg of the journey and buy a bottle of oil and top it up
or even keep a 1L bottle in your boot with your spare wheel, 1L bottles from the servo are small as, and if ur burning/leaking oil that fast i advise u keep one in the car at all times and check ur oil before each trip

10-w40 grade oil is what ur after to top it upp if you dont know

thank's res :)
yea i bought a 5 litre bottle using my friends money :/
cause it started ticking about 5 minutes out of warwick township, so i bought the bottle in town, topped it up and now theres a good 1 maybe 2 spare litres chlling with my sub and amps in the boot

Yer, bad luck on the engine, have to give Vinny a ring, he'll get you some overnight parts from Japan.
if you were being serious, im now looking for a 6a12

i think a 6a12 is a bit out of your price range TBH
they are rather hard to find... let alone in manual, and cost $1,500 for just the engine no loom easy... then u will need to rebuild and fix bits... its about a $4,000 process minimum
also the 6a12 is an FTO engine not the evo engine, evo engines cost double that

look into a 4g94 (2.0L i4 sohc engine) will be an upgrade and they come in the newer lancers, which are much more common and cheaper than an fto or evo wreck

also research on your part goes along way, we can only tell u stuff, u yourself will have to actually learn it and be able to research things if you are serious on an engine swap/replace diy'ing it

yeaaaa, but... POWWAAAAAHHH
lul
yea ive been spending most of today researching engines/rims/suspension etc, just getting familiarised with lancers etc
ive got 3 months to work and save and not spend money on, by that time ill be used to not driving anywhere, so i wont care if my car is in the middle of a process at that stage anyways, ive got a job lined up, 100% garunteed that I'll get it, ill be sitting on 23-27 dollars an hour, after hours work 5 days a week
ill have 4 grand and more in that time

but if they are that hard to find, ill settle happily for a 4g94, i have plenty of time to choose :)

it's a long drawn out process.... I have spent $12k and have not even started on engine internals... There is so much to do.

why not just rebuild the engine you have now, seeing as its running slightly

will cost FAR less and you will still learn alot.... as for power, that should be the least of your worries, you can pull power out of any engine if its done right, just takes time

I realise this, but atm i can't do TOO much to the engine bay, seeing as I'm essentially suspended from my P's
but i dont think theres anywhere saying I cant do a whole engine change, cause technically thats not an engine mod, more a swapover

P's? shit man. No offence but that's just stupid. I'm nearly onto my 2nd phase of P's and not one blemish (touch wood), no point hooning/road rage/being a le douche There is always a time and place for 'having fun', they're called the 1/4 mile or skid pan, under supervision.
