The 4g93 Swap Help

Double check, the key reader is just a reader, but its very thin wire so it can break and not work. Swap back in the stock. Edit: you can just have the stock one plugged in and hold it over the key when you try to crank it again

Crank the car again, and then quickly take your spark plugs out. If they're wet, the injectors are firing, if theyre dry then injectors are not firing and there may be another issue
Can we use the mirage key reader with the lancer barrel and key?

other sensor didnt work. there is alot of buzzing when set to the on position

Buzzing where?

Still check engine light what else would cause that. Would a dodgy o2 sensor stop it from cranking?

The only thing that would stop these engines from firing up with the CEL on is the imob. It'll run on near zero oil, no O2 sensor, no MAF, and a few other things.

OH check all the plugs for the sensors in the bay btw lol

like chzz chz chzzzz chzzz chzz not non stop
With a tiny like half second gap between chz? Thats normal, thats the IACV (which helps the idle speed).

Are you able to check the code, try to pin out the OBD2 plug

It's the injectors which is interesting. we aren't getting fuel. but we have the correct imob setup and tried to mix and match and got the same result

Pretty sure its pin 1 and pin 4. OBD is just the output, cant really *fudge* it up lol.

Jam a wire or paper clip in there, and count the flashes. There should be long flashes (theses are counted as tens), and short flashes (these are singles), and then it'll display the next error, and then it repeats from the start.

So for example 3 long flashes and 4 short flashes mean its Error code 34. Let it repeat a couple times to make sure you have the correct code (or codes, if theres more than one. They'll be one after each other).

Just incase youre still working on it. Take the fuel line off the fuel rail, have a mate crank it and watch fuel pour out. This will confirm your fuel pump operation.

Next, unplug an injector and stick the multimeter across the plugs while you crank it. You should see 12v flash across if the ecu is requesting it to open.

Further method of testing if its a fuel issue, spray some aerostart or “start ya bastard” down the TB. It should splutter and maybe start on that if its a fuel problem

will try the obd in a sec

Ok we tried start ya basterd and it stuttered but didnt start and died

Sounds likes its injectors. I'll put a 6 pack of yeasty bois on it that its the imob playing games with ya

Just checking the fuel goes through what we think is the fuel filter (top right of the engine or back of engine passenger side) we unscrewed a bolt on top of the "fuel filter" that the fuel rail line goes through and fuel seemed to be pressurised and sprayed out.

Thats correct. Next check the return off the fuel rail, unplug that and crank the car once or twice and it should rocket out.
