I bought these today for $105

I don't think I'll ever put them in. I can't be bothered fiddling around with the door again haha

Haha why would you buy them ? I'd totally put them in for you ;) I've taken off my door card that many times haha and just installed my 6"'s and 6x9's :p

Where's the spare tire :p

I do have an audio question.

I have a Kenwood KDC-U553BT, great system but I'm having an issue with BlueTooth Audio from my iPhone 5s. When I go to BT Audio I only get sound through my front speakers (yes 1st world problem I know) anyway it works fine on Radio and when I plug in the iPhone into USB but for what ever reason the sound only comes through the front speakers with BT Audio.
Yes I've checked the balance/fade and unlike the volume it's system wide so if you set the fade for Radio the same settings apply for USB and BT.
Volume is different, with the phone function you can set a different volume for the phone (to hear calls) compared to the radio.

I'm not sure, I just assumes when you're using BT-A to playback music it would come out all the speakers. Not sure if sound only comes through the front when I get a phone call.

Im pretty sure it does that on purpose. Sort of like the same thing skype does when you get a call. All sounds are minimised by 30%.

Whats in the set up?
Pioneer head unit
Fusoin active sub (behind)
Pioneer 3 way speakers
4 fusion speakers (2 8" and 2 2")
2 fusion tweeters
1 alpine bass vr sub
Also 4 stockies haha

So I'm looking at buying a double DIN DVD HU, don't know whether this will fit flush. I assume it will and blah blah blah but can anyone confirm this? I also have an ISO adapter thingo to go with it so hopefully it's plug n play. Thoughts? I was looking at some other but this had the best sound output at 4x65W. Audio is not my forte.

Only issue I have with a double DIN is you loose the box under the HU, which is a nice extra storage. But to gain DVD and reversing camera it's probably well worth it. In the CC the HU is probably too low for GPS, I prefer them at wind screen hight.

Can't wait to see how it fits Rigby, the link says it fits flush but you don't need it sticking out and your coffee spilling all over the screen.

I've used a range of speakers over the years mainly Rockford and Alpine. As with everything, you get what you pay for. Rockford I wouldn't get anything less than power series personally. They are made to play loud rock music so hold up well to a good thrashing. They do need a good amp though. The punch series don't have the same bass kick but are a good solid all round speaker and upgrade over most stock systems. Alpine is the same with the type Rs. Hold up well to a thrashing but need good power to them. Type S are rubbish in my opinion. Any time you get some bass going they distort and can't hold up. And theres a reason the Xs cost so much. They sound crystal clear. I would even put the type Es ahead of the S' if you're using a sub. The speakers sound nice and clear but have next to no bass in them.

If money's not an option, Focal.

I'm running two type s subs and I like them. They are defiantly holding up to the bashing I have given them.

Check out jbhifi imo

I remember my brother had one of these and the police would tell him to turn it off when he was driving because he was "watching movies"

He changed the hu to one that flips out

The more you know

Was talking in terms of speakers, in answer to lancer1993's question. The subs I don't mind. Not great but do the job.

Don't care about losing the pocket, 2din more than makes up for that. And I won't have dvds playing unless the missus wants to watch the notebook or something. Music all the way.

Most now have a wire you hook up to the hand brake so movies only play when it is on.

I agree you get what you pay for and it depends what you want and can afford, upgrade when you can afford better.

Had anyone tried the tub type subwoofer?

Rigby, when I looked at buying the prelude I showed you before, it had one of the double din screens. The shifter would be in the way of using the bottom of the screen when in park.

Just think about that too. If u don't care then get one. But if you're getting it off ebay make sure the warranty is legit and not something dodgey that wont cover you for anything.
