Personally I wouldn’t go for cheap coilovers as they can break and cause a serious accident.
Also remember coilovers are not road compliant and insurance will not cover you if they find you have them on your car.
If you really want coilovers get the good stuff like Tien etc.
Spring shocker combos as mentioned are excellent choice but again the good stuff is very expensive.
The good old kings and KYB’s will do the job on the street and still be legal as long as you are no lower than the 100mm….

As far as I know Coilovers are not ADR compliant and police can and will defect you for having them.
Lowering springs and shocks you can’t be hassled unless you are lower than 100mm.
Shannons will insure with almost any Mod I’ve done so far on my Nissan including Tein coilovers.
Just car would not inure the Nissan at all.

This again...?

TEIN and Pedders Coilovers are the only two brands that have achieved ADR compliance for their coilovers. If you want to get into the nitty gritty, your suspension must retain 2/3rds of the original shocker travel distance as well, so bye-bye any stiffer suspension. (not only must shocker travel be retained, its technically non-ADR compliant if the coilover allows the car to be lowered below 100mm).

Insurance companies can only knock you back if the cause of an accident was due to a Non-ADR compliant modification, which in this case, most coilovers are. For this to happen, you would need to have a crash/accident/whatever, that the coilovers directly caused.
