Lancer CE Coupe Makeover Project ! Help ?

just my personal opinion, but the evo spoilers look so tacky on anything without the evo widebody kit, just my 2 cents

Ahh well I've been looking for a spoiler for so long and I'm starting to wonder whether I should just get the vertex kit without a spoiler.. But I really want one lol

Probably this one.. lol I like the R33 styled spoiler more than any but they're hard to find (and expensive)

Same, sort of... I'm over near Wilberforce
I'll keep an eye out for you, you should come to a Auslancer meet
We meet up Penrith pretty often, would be good to see a new face

Oh cool :)

Yeah that would be cool :D except I only have Monday and Tuesday nights off from work :/ lol but yeah if it's on one of those nights I'll try and come :)

another thought is, if you decide to go the evo route, you dont necessarily have to go wide body. you can always get fender flare accents OR stick with an evo IV kit that was never wide body to begin with. there are many options at your disposal. personally i would just get a CE3 front bumper, stock side skirts and rear lip.

Very nice but I hate the factory front bumper and that spoiler lol too small. Not enough rice ;) nice interior though :)

Saw ANOTHER lancer today when I went shopping at rouse hill lol and I had two parked either side of me, both modded coupes haha forgot to get a pic but I got one of the evo :)

Pity you were born in the 90's and not a teenager of the 90's when rice was at it peak, lol

I don't think evo 7/8/9 spoilers are available for ce's unless you find them on carmate.

My car is a manual too btw.. 1.5L (once again, dont laugh.)

Having a 1.5l is nothing to laugh about, they are decent engines, and I've found the intakes on them to be very noisy compared to other mitsubishi engines. My mate has a 1.5l with a CAI setup, and I am not exaggerating even a little bit when I say at wide open throttle (accelerator floored) his intake is even louder than his cannon

I've only TEMPORARILY got chrome wheel covers because I'm waiting for my mate to get back to me on her rims she's getting rid of. Definitely want mags. I want a body kit too and people seem to be talking a lot about the MR kit ? I've also been looking for a spoiler too.. Honestly been looking for three or four weeks and haven't found a spoiler that will fit my car.. (Well at least that's what the sellers tell me..)

Body kits are good :D the MR kit is pretty small but cheap. If you're wanting something bigger and fancier, there are usually pieces of body kits going cheap-ish on ebay. I got my front bar on ebay, and also looking to get a rear bar from ebay also. They will almost always come unprimed and unpainted from ebay, so it helps to know somebody who has experience with car painting, if you don't know anybody then ask friends if they know people. I'm lucky enough to work with an ex-panel beater, so all my body kit painting, etc, I go to him with.

As for not finding a spoiler that fits, all evo 4, 5 and 6 spoilers should fit. The evo's 4-6 all share the same boot dimensions with the CE, so it should literally be a case of drilling holes into your boot and bolting the spoiler on.

I was going to say that looks like Rouse Hill but then realised you've already noted that

I'm there often because the GF lives in Bella Vista.

Regarding your kit, I remember being similarly inclined because everything is new and exciting when I first got my coupe. It's ultimately your choice, but in time I feel you will soon appreciate the clean flush look that a regular MR kit would give over the big-eff-off redonkulous spoilers, which only serves a purpose if you have some serious work going on under the bonnet :p

That said, done right *woo-hoo* spec can look pretty cool. Rigby (aka the rice zen master) CC is pretty tidy and I like his two tone!

If your super keen on a high spoiler look for E5/E6 Ones.

When I started on here I was a 4g15 (1.5) Slushbox Auto. After it died we swapped it out and now with a 1.8 Manual :) the 1.5's are economical and will run forever with the right attention, so don't fret lol.

I do recall seeing a 7 wing on a evo 4/5/6. Think the 7 wing would look better than an 8/9 due to the shape (lack of overhang) on the uprights.
Looked good!
No idea what they had to do to custom fit it though.
Where there is a will...

When the 6 wing just isn't high enough!!
