Good price for exhaust?

yeh thats what i thought ... ciz i think you need to look under your car again lol !

no one will give you a new cat and exhaust for that much ... not new installed ...

Cat back! Not the actual cat xD
My bad! Haha :p

I'm running on P plates :(
Any more exhaust mods and I'll probably get hassled by the Police Cops :p

I doubt they would even know with extractors, they make your car noticeably quieter, in my instance for example. Just freer revving.

You can put your factory heat shields back on to cover that mod too.

Sounds interesting. I might look into extractors!

But for now I'm taking a break from spending so I can save some $$$.
Being a uni student sucks (financially!)

cops will only normally hassle you on your p's (in vic) if you are driving like a wanker, car is too low, or if your exhaust is too loud, other than that you can actually do quite a bit of modding on your p's.. youd be quite surprised :p

edit.. modding which is legal i might add

sure does, most of us know the feeling, extractors are the way to go, there are the main part of the zorst that will yield gains

Seriously, these guys are correct. Extractors are not illegal, nor limited to open licences (that I am aware of).

You are more than likely going to attract attention due to your cannon (still a fail = I must be a hater!), than due to a well designed exhaust product that can save fuel, more than add massive performance increases...

Hmm wtf. I swear my CE was a 1.8L but the metal plate under the bonnet says the engine is 4G15. Is there any other way to know? I did have a prang couple years ago and the bonnet got replaced, could they have put on a bonnet meant for a 1.5L?

ahahahaha! get extractors then, makes such a difference in the 4g15
okay 1 definite way to check, if your spark plugs/coil packs are at the back of the engine you have a 4g93, if they are at the front u have a 4g15

wrong attention... loud cars that have more fart than sh ! t are not good... quiet and fast are always preferable..

extractors first tho, they make the most difference, catback wont do shit if you cant get the exhaust gasses out of the cylinder (which the 1.5l 4g15 struggles with majorly) 4-2-1 design headers/extractors will give u a much better powerband and help out with flow which is desperatly needed

the reasoning;
4g15 head has 12 valves, 3 per cylinder, 2 intake valves, 1 exhaust valve
not having 2 exhaust valves restricts the flow of the exhaust gas after combustion keeping more fouled gas in the cylinder
which is bad as the more exhaust gasses from the last cycle take up room that is needed for fresh fuel and air to be let in to be burned

also the stock manifold is a 2-1 design linking non-synced cylinders which at high rpm makes terrible power as it can blowback exhaust gasses back into the cylinder beside it, leaveing again less room in the cylinder for fresh air and fuel therefore less power is made

convinced you to get extractors yet?
catback wont do shit without them on a 4g15

^ do what Res says... This has been the advice from the start... I think it's been adequately explored by now...

Maybe enough is enough!
