CE Lancer Possible Engine Conversions

Okay... So I've found a 6a12 engine and they want $880 engine only. How much should I be looking at for an aftermarket loom and ecu? Also, it has no sump but I figure the one on the current engine should fit? And will my tranny bolt onto the 6a12?
Thanks guys

Step1: disregard that guy
Step2: buy whole FTO for that much
Step3: use everything from FTO

^ This. Can buy a wreck for 1k or less. Don't rush it, wait for one to pop up and then jump on it. Your 4g gearbox will bolt up to it, yes.

He's keeping the car but putting a new engine in it from what he's saying. But I might do that actually. Just gotta see if anyone would accept that offer

The one in Adelaide would be ideal it's perfect but being in WA the freight from Adelaide to me would be killer thank you anyways though Rigby. I did find a 6a13TT I might be able to get for about $1800?

WHAT. $900 for just an engine is a JOKE. I couldn't sell mine for $500 for a full engine conversion including boxes and wiring, ended up letting it go for $250 since i need the space. I picked up a FTO wreck for $500, you literally take everything from the FTO and put it in the lancer/mirage. (and yes this is wa.)

Wow that's unreal! I found a Legnum I might buy. It's in Perth and I offered $1800 for the whole car. 6a13TT and its done 140000ks... Still drives and everything

The 6a13tt will be a VERY tight fit, im not sure if it actually fits at all tbh....the 6a12 as it is, is already a very tight squeeze.
Check around to see what is needed to fit the 13tt, because I am almost 100% sure you need to do a bit of metalwork to get that in.

It fits, you just ask the firewall very nicely to kindly fuck off

Come on guys how about we only answer if we know what we're talking about instead of speculating. The rear turbo hits on the standard brake prop valve so you need to move this and the hard brake lines. That's the hardest part. No need to go cutting out the firewall. Couple of other things need to be moved like the front washer reservoir and the radiator fans to the front, and you'll need to make up some custom piping to run the stock airbox, but there's not a whole lot that needs to change from the factory setup.

Thanks BI65ND. I'll let the mechanic know that... I'm not exactly game to diy it just yet... Still awaiting a reply on whether or not the guy has accepted my offer... I offered $1500 for the engine cpu and loom. I know it's high but I'm very keen to get it and don't really want to miss out...

I think it has to be the 6a12 Mivec for my CE2 Coupe.

For a daily you'd never need anything more, and it's a (relatively) easy bolt in. No serious modifications required, except wiring wise, which I'm not afraid of.

And being that the 2.0L is less than 15% of the capacity of the largest engine the lancers came out with, the 1.8L, you don't need an engineer to certify? Just a Blue Slip correct?

Nope. It's from a different car, needs a mod plate

Incorrect, the CK6A Mirage/Lancer sedan came with a 1.8l V6 (the 6A11) so you could say that a 2L V6 is well within the specs of upgrade.

I'm sure they'd argue some sort of regulation that it needs to be from the AUDM or some other crap to make your life difficult. It's QLD after all.

You will need the engine loom, the air intake boxes and MAF, the ECU and accompanying ignition key reader (and key with chip), accelerator cable...umm.....at a minimum.
