starting up issues

ok so iv taken out the whole intake, cleaned it thoroughly and also the throttle body, one of the injectors has a broken seal and they all look very average where the fuel sprays out the bottom, gonna get them professionally cleaned but by the looks of them i think they may need to be replaced, anyone know roughly how much they cost brand new??

New... about $300 for 4 x 350cc Bosch units...

I think you should have someone look at them.. because you can get them either cleaned or traded for already cleaned units.. ring around.

yeah ill definitely get someone to look at them so i can hopefully avoid the need to spend $$$ for new ones.

BTW, that was an imported price from Japan, so you would; a) have to wait a while and b) add postage/handling

I have bigger units in my car, cost me $799 for new ones.

you wouldnt by any chance have the link to the site/company which you got them from?

Import Monster... take your pick of them. I am not sure what size you want.. so I am reticent to show you a particular link... do the search with your chosen parameters.

Cheers

u may be able to use other mitsu injectors just make sure they are the right cc

got a few quotes on a full fuel injection clean and most are around the $300-$330 mark. may aswell just buy new ones then?

gregory/haynes handbook for your car, or ask sykryd or matty they are 2 ppl off hand that i can think of that would know that info

new injectors have been fitted, intake cleaned out and this lumpy idle still persists so iv come to the conclusion that iv either got a bad fill up of premium fuel or it doesnt burn well on cold start ups.

I thought you dumped the fuel..!?!? You suggested that you were going to refill.. no?!

It would have been a logical first step, but the new injectors will keep it all honest, anyway.

yeah havent had the chances cause iv only just started it up on the weekend since putting it all back together. its near empty, either gonna go for a drive and run it down or siphon it out..

is it difficult to unstrap the whole fuel cell?!

Great if you could give it a proper clean out....

wouldn't bother, not worth it for the trouble. I agree with roysie still sounds like a vac leak.
