starting up issues

so iv changed the fuel filter, put new spark plugs in, cleaned the injectors and checked literally every vac line and all connections and im still getting a hesitation when touching the throttle on start up, im still finding this really strange as once the motor is warm its perfectly fine. looks like im gonna need to take it to a mechanic to get it checked out.

mine does the same, but maybe to a lesser extent or i just tolerate it now :p
if u find out whats wrong with it let me know

did you have your injectors bench cleaned with ultrasound or just run through some liquid cleaner?

Why I ask, is injectors often are tabled to inject more fuel upon start-up and if they are not aspirating correctly, you get very-hard-to-burn charges. When the engine heats up, it leans and also the integral soaked heat also assists in detonation.

If you just ran through a cleaner, they may not be 'clean', just psychologically you feel better!

i just ran a liquid cleaner through it. but that actually sounds like what is occuring here.

I only suggest, because I have a cheap home ultrasonic cleaning unit. It is used for cleaning everything from jewelery to my injectors!

So, it is cost neutral for me to discharge my fuel system, pop off my injectors and give them a clean.

An other way (professional) is to have a 'rail-flush'. This is where they run a pressurized solvent through your fuel rail. You are looking at $130-ish.

This coincidentally is very close to a proper bench ultrasonic clean.

Don't buy a home ultrasonic cleaner, I have one because of my shooting. I clean my brass with it, to reload them.

Mine cost $250, but has paid itself off many times cleaning friends' injectors, jewelery etc...

For all you nay sayers, in my dream last night i tested trygs diagnostic method and it works fine.

so suck on that

Ok so iv nailed it down to injectors after seeing one of the injectors developing small amounts of fuel around the seals and intake, this would also explain my crap fuel consumption lately..Iv also read on a site that with leaking injectors seeing as they don't function correctly after you turn the car off a small build up of fuel is left in the ignition chamber and when you go to start it the next day it's flooded causing that hesitation and lack of power on start up. Question is should I get them professionally cleaned or just replace them completely??

Just a quick question have you cleaned the built up carbon around the throttle butterfly, this can *fudge* with your idle making it rough and gave the throttle stick? Do this and disconnect battery if you haven't already and then let it idle for a bit. That's what I'd start with being a mechanic, but it's difficult to diagnose over the net.

I'm going to take the entire intake off and give it a clean as well, what's the best cleaning agent to use?? Would simply using degreaser be good enough?

Kero (I think) is a good degreaser, use to use it back when pulling apart lawn mower motors at school. Dunno if degreaser you buy is kero based or all chemical.

If you want the best result, get a bench clean on your injectors, seals replaced and the corresponding throttle body/valve cleaned at the same time...

Easy.
