rev matching

Holy feck, calm ya farm bro. Some people are just trying to better understand how it all works, there's no harm in asking questions is there? Gee

I'll do it for most gears aside from going into first, as that's just silly.

I find it rather useful especially when going for hills drives which I do most weekends. It's horrible to hear the strain on the entire car when you downshift from 3rd into 2nd at such a high rpm, and a rev match just makes it sound better, easier on the DT and gearbox and means you don't get that jerk of the wheels when the revs suddenly fly back up after dropping a gear.

Hell, if I'm in high enough revs in 3rd I'll double clutch it for laughs back down to 2nd instead of bashing the throttle like a madman.

Also, going past say, a carpark full of car people, you'll get a look out of them too.
