Modified Ralliart Lancers

are you doing any interior/sound system mods? I think your seats would take leather very nicely.

any further thoughts on the zorst?

Hey all, I do notice the lag on normal mode with my ralliart but sports mode doesn't seem too bad.

Heard a good exhaust will minimise the lag.

I always thought that the mode selection was for the transmission settings? Likewise I thought the initial lag from standstill was because the transmission is a bit slow to engage????

Well if it's the transmission, then there's not really much you can do...the whole idea is it's trying to be gentle on the clutch at take-off I would imagine...

Well how do u get it to be more responsive

apart from that transmition problem... an engine is more responsive when it flows well (ei: remove restictions in intake and exhaust) and also when it has less weight to turn (ie: replacing heavey OEM parts like crank pully and flywheel with lightened equivilents, or lightweight rims etc.)

engine:
good dump pipe and 3" exhaust
all hard piping with mandrel bends for the cooler
new slightly larger cooler
flash tune if that available

auto:
shift kit
valve body mods
thicker wavespring

I'll throw my 2 cents in. I've sat and read forums after forums deciding on what to do to the ralliart. My best advice is find your way to evoxforums and read how people have fudged the ralliarts and evos up with going to far.

Bryan from GST motorsports offers a free base tune with and without a a boost pill adjustment so thats your best bet to start to get the response to be massive. Obviously sports mode does crazy shizet but fuel is bs prices at the moment.

Have a read over at evolutionmn.net on the ralliart forum and read what people are doing, the most your going to acheive without going nuts on your ride is 12.8 on a quarter mile. Thats still friken fast, and your not going to need to stuff around with changing injectors getting that tuned, watching if your fuel lines going to fly off and cause it to run lean BANG!!!!.

from what i can judge from MRT you don't get enough bang for your buck. Why not use the base tune thats suited for the ausdm ralliarts and go to another tuner to suit it to your car. People are going to go nuts because its a generic tune but every car thats not built by a european supercar company/Nissan has a generic tune whipped on its ecu. You can upload it with the evo tool thing(i forget Ryan can answer it) and your going to flog most cars on the road that havent had thousands spent on mods. Quite frankly if your looking for fast and the furious speeds then you need to spill the money on a trusted tuner and the parts to go with it.

If not, at least have a read about what I've mentioned above it's not worth doing any mods without researching the pros and cons!!!! Let other peoples mistakes make your car the perfect one :D

I'm still working on a project for a wiki for Ryan (Even though i havent mentioned it to him) that should make it easier for people to reference info about all lancers particulary for the ralliart as its such a hidden car when it comes to mods.

Thats parra's 2 cents and they better Win on monday or else!!!!!

Cheers.

please nb, a shift kit will not exist for this car it's all about tcu tuning which nobody to my knowledge offers commerically yet.
