Interiors

heh will probably have to get some more shots. Basically black suede inserts. with gloss black highlights.. and the rest is satin black. oh and red seats.

ok, loving the the 2x52mm dials on the main unit, and is it me or do i notice a climate control unit in there too :p is that hooked up and fully working?
oh and whats with the head unit, it kinda looks like the alpine(?) head deck is sitting rather low :S
oh, do you have a ride thread? (so i dont spam up this one)

yeah climate control out of a evo 6 installed and fully working, grabbed the folding mirrors too hehe. Your right on the alpine unit, it sits lower due to the custom 7" lcd screen for my carpc.

also got pics of when my interior was red/white

All my interior is pretty easy to do and not devastatingly different or remarkable. All things you see, have been done by me alone.
Leather retrim, 7" HU replacement, leather in door inserts, 3M CF vinyl on trim, VRX leather steering wheel and flappy paddles, PLX OBD Gauge and CF Pod.

How did you go with removing the steering wheels without the airbags going off?

^^
IIRC
there will be a screw holding in the airbag on the back of the wheel, you WILL have to take that off to get the steering wheel off

ok I'm guessing there would also be some sort of connector. Whats the best way to remove this?

This is in my 2003 CG LS. Those with an ES/LS of the CG/CH 4G94 range will know the awful grey plastic interiors they have.
Full 2006 CH VRX black interior conversion
CH Velocity factory leather/suede seats.
White dash cluster cover and red LEDs to fake the VRX cluster look
Elec window panels painted metallic gunmetal to match the rest of the dash
Leather evo7 handbrake

More of just a budget mods
Interior painted (all panels removed, sanded back, primed, painted and cleared)
Seats wrapped in white material from spotlight.
Still more to do, just ran out of time.

Now with some LED strips that I have put where the sunroof is, add a lighting effect. Wired to the dome light at the moment.

Plan is to finish of the remaining trim from black to white, roof linning to white from grey, A, B and C pillars from grey to white then the boot set up a bit neater and in white.
I have 2006 Mercedes SLK floor mats that fit
I may get the seats retrimmed in white if I can get some better seats. At the moment I have got the material wrapped for easy remove to clean seeing I work in the auto trade daily and get dirty at times.

yeh, make sure you disconnect the battery for a while first just incase,
but after you unscrew the airbag module, it should lift out, and there will be a little clip that just pulls apart,

im almost certain there are a few threads lingering around in regards to removing the airbag, so have a look around and see what turns up :p

Hi guys my question here is with the oval shaped fabric on the door card, I took out the original factory crap but didnt even think about how hard it would be to put new fabric down, or vinyl wrap because its bowl shaped i cannot get anything to stick nice and flush. it keeps bubbling up around the corners and its driving me insane. Has anyone got any pointers on how to retrim this part? or should I just quit and vinyl dye it?
