Yep - I bought the part and had it within 2 weeks. First you enter the part number and within 24 hours they give you a quote, then you can proceed with the order.

Quality of the product was (or so it seems) same same with the original. Haven't had any troubles so far and everything is fine.

As far as service goes - they are an online company in Japan I am pretty sure. So with that in mind - my emails were in english :p

Hi pplz, I would also like to add my $0.02 worth...

I have been having the same problem for a number of months now with the lights working whenever they feel like it & switching on & off when going around corners. So after reading this thread I considered purchasing a new/used indicator but found that these items aren't as cheap as I thought they would be.

I decided to remove the indicator stalk assembly to investigate. When I removed the indicator assembly, I found that the connector pins to the harness on the steering column was ok. So I proceeded to removed the bottom of the assembly which has the printed circuit board component (the bit with the connector pins) with a small flat blade screwdriver. When I took this bottom off, I noticed that the solder joints associated with the headlight circuit where fractured ie dry solder joints = bad connection/intermittent operation. After seeing this, all I did was gave the board a clean, re-soldered all the solder joints, gave the contacts a bit of a clean & a bend, whacked on sum silicon grease on for lube & put it back together...problem fixed!

BTW, all up it took me about 45 mins to remove, repair & fit the indicator stalk

Cheers

...so are headlights the indicators are they?
Negative.

Indicators are the yellow/amber flashing lights when you signal to turn. Headlights (low and high beam) are the bright lights that you normally turn on during the night or a rainy day. :|

I have no clue what's going on, if your headlights are flashing when you turn.

The problem is that the headlights and indicators are on the same stalk....so because the stalk is $hit it makes the headlights flicker and just randomally turn off at the most inconvenient times....

If you are comfortable with soldering stuff on your car then do the fix mentioned above. If you just want a cheap easy fix that takes 5 minutes to do...then buy the part I have mentioned above...

Bump on an old post, I havent got this issue on my 04 VRX, but do on my 06 ES. There is now an Australia wide re-call on the effected vehicles, you should receive a letter, just as the airbag one. (I haven't, however Federal Gov states that I should).

If you have the intermittent issue of headlights/indicators sporadically not functioning/turning off/turning on and your VIN meets the below criteria, you are eligible to have the issue sorted for FREE at a Mitsubishi dealer. Simply book in and problem solved.
