4 screws around the cluster and then it just comes out.
negative, found that out the hard way today, just talkin on the mini chat, and ppl are saying to get the cluster out gotta remove that part of the dash cause thers stuff stopping the cluster sliding forwards

but josh, you can get a pair of small long nose pliers and lever them out to avoid pullin out the cluster

pull out the cluster once you have un done your 4 screws, its just push in clips at the back for the electronics, DW you wont break anything

Yeah dont have to take out the dash. the cluster just pulls straight out once the 4 screws are undone. easy.

Seriously, Josh?

You of all people... I thought you would've been good at this mod

But yeah, as people are saying - it's really a piece of piss. It's about a 30 minute job, max. I used Brett's guide off of MLGA to do mine.

And lets see a pic of your 'bulky' LED's, I'm sure they'll fit.
I used these and it was fine...

all the ones other than your cluster are the small T5 bulbs, there is 2 in the aircon pannel, 1 for the cigarette lighter ring, 1 for the ash tray, i think 2 T5's for the cluster and 3 T10's for it
aircon control bulbs dont twist out u have to be rough with them and push them down, they pop out on an angle, u will probably break the stock bulbs tho which is ok, i did wen i pulled mine out, but the plug still works fine

got pics of how it turned out, havent seen a red one yet

just an idea latez91, maybe you could edit ur 1st post and put a picture of each colour someone has done so others know how it will look as the end product?
so anyone who has done a colour post up a pic of your dash (at night) for a little colour gallery for the tutorial

well here is blue, thats what i had, i'll get a pick of white LED tommorow night

we should probably get someone with stock globes to take a pic of theirs so there is a b4 shot and then the coloured/LED ones
problem with blue, if u have red/orange needles the needles are hard to see, clear needles should be fine tho

i got the red ones in. looked terrible. i mean it looked good for a red car... but my headdeck is white now. so i went n got white bulbs. and yeh they look good :)

found out i cant change the cluster bulbs, as the actual cluster is coloured orange on all the parts where light comes through... fail snail!

and now here is white dash: (looks blue a bit, but its all white globes)
i like white way betetr than blue, simply coz now i can see my needles

how come ur cluster dash part is the same shape as mine n all. but mine IS orange on the speedo's n stuff? or is that just something u can take out n change or???? cause eeven when my lights arent on, the speedo n fuel n all is orange coloured.

hey guys, just tried putting in some led's I got in the mail today,
but absolutely failed with getting the ones in behind the aircon controls, everything else was too easy.
I know people have said push it out on an angle etc. but ive used a fair bit of force trying to get them out,
and they just wont budge :/ any advice? sorry im a little bit crap with some of this modding stuff.

if its the first time u have replaced them behind there they do take ALOT of mucking around

bassically push the bulb holder thing sideways unitll its on an angle then back the other side, keep doing that and it'll eventually come
as josh said bent long-nose pliers also help

but it does take alot of force 1st time u do it

ok yes, I was brutal with it this time, and they both successfully came out :D
purple dash in, and im waiting for the T10's to put in my cluster lights :)
