Custom iPhone dock/AUX input

what model, what model, what model!?!?! As Ryan states, not all are input.. some have two or three output and one input.

okay scratch that.. the RCA on back is to connet amps or subs with amps..
so il just have to use the front aux.. no biggie :)

yeahh..
okay now i gotta decide where i put the dock.. i can put it in the centre console where i thought originally.. or in the ash tray, since i dont smoke and probably never will so its useless to me.

tip: don't modify anything that you cannot put back to normal, for a minimum of spendoolies.... stock sells best.

Hence me adapting that little coin tray, only $5 from the wreckers, I have about 5 of them, in case I need to make more or one for friends etc...

truee... but then again im planning on doing a *poo*load of mods so anyone wanting to buy my car will probs not want it stock..

Ollie what is your budget for a HU?

Here are a few examples of what is out there that can charge/play music from an ipod/iphone, some also have bluetooth (something I could not live without. No more untangling handsfree kits or using speaker to talk to people, no more having to fiddle with the stereo so you can hear the person talking).

Examples:

Not sure if your budget extends that far. You may be able to get better prices at JB or another local car audio place. Some have specific ipod cables - the Kennwood should work perfectly with a 3GS/4 as my MMCS works with them (made by Kenwood).

well iv got this one for chrissy : http://www.sony.com.au/product/cdx-gt290
not the greatest but it does what i want, i dont need bluetooth or anything like that. i wouldnt use it enuff for it to be worth it.
and the less this costs the more money i get from dad towards turbo conversion.. so im happy with that :)
cost $89 marked down from $149

is it installed???

and if not who will install it, advice seek out an ISO cable adapter, it makes stuff easy as pie, everything becomes plug and play with an ISO adapter for ur loom and for the HU

pfft.. expensive to whom?! Remember it's all relative. I packaged up my whole system and paid $4500

For what it can do, IMHO, I think it's way ahead of other single DINs. Just my 2c though.

Dave, I realise it may only have single DIN, but ours had an ugly single panel !! Just about every car make has an adapter for 2DIN, by now, surely!

yeah u can buy a ralliart CF panel that replaces the shole aircon controls.. but im probs gonna put gauges where the aircon is atm so i cant use 2DIN.

You had MMCS?

I was definitely thinking about going that route too... but I wanted digital TV, as well as DVD, bluetooth and GPS (which you have!)

But they are truly devine!
