Gday everyone,

Currently i have a CH 04 4g94 lancer, i am currently seeking out how to increase the torque and performance on the car. I was getting an evo however i decided a house was more important.

Please make any suggestions on what i can mod to raise the torque?

Off the top of my head i currently i have new iridium plugs, semi-synthetic oil, k&n filter. (possibly others not sure atm)

turbo will raise the torque immensly :p

but i guess ur not going to fork out that much and ur after N/a mods
high flow air filter, larger throttle body, cold air intake, lightened parts (light rims, underdrive pully, flywheel), extractors, port and polish.
off the top of my head

umm budget i guess i not sure i mean atm im working some ppl to look for a nice set of extractors.

what would be the next thing thats ideal to change?

You seriously just want to see a turbo'd CH don't you.

but yes besides going forced induction, what res said.

as for turbo im not sure that would be the best road for me to take, to be honest ive never weighed up how much it would be balpark to turbo it.
whats the balpark?

Atm the moment i currently still have the stock CAI like piping an stuff just changed the filter to a K&N panel filter

looking around 5k to have a safe running turbo setup......you can also try some NOS...

lol ok not that keen for torque lol :p

but i have been told that more air i can get into the engine the better, so i was going to look at making the intake bigger and maybe put some sort of other filter on. however never done it so not sure what todo :(

if you want more torques then paint it blue, stick a magna badge on it and let chocko get it dyno'd :p

hahaha yes! ill go do that now i just pinch my ol mans badge hes got a magna lol :p
no worries :D

nah alot of help guys!
im looking at doing a pod in the body kit somewhere or for now just running pipe down into that hole like this:

where would i buy this kind of pipe from?

bunnings. :D plumbing shops...TBH mate, ditch the airbox, even though my pod is next to my engine, when I went for a spin with no bonnet, there was a lot of improvement... I think i've said this in 3 threads now...

flexi pipe, i got mine from autobarn for $30, it does the job :p

but i think every one has been on the ball so far, but if you want more power you will have to spend moar money or... but a faster car as a base :p

Yeh i was about to buy an evo 8 i was at the dealer an everything and i just didnt go ahead right away with it. i figure a house is more important

That CAI with the ducting works very well specially on cold days. I used silver ducting pipe from a hardware store. Was able to get some 4'' pipe, caught some serious air with that hanging off the front bumper.
