[CE] 4G15 -> 4G93/4

Patience dude, gotta give people a chance to reply! I am not an expert on this, but the front half should work no problems, but you're more than likely going to need a custom lower section. The 4g94 headers have to drop slightly lower than the 4g93 headers so the cat will probably sit a bit higher. Not sure how much give the flex pipe has in it though, and if it is enough to bend it into the right place.

IMO, just get the "headers" part of the headers, so that you know they clear the block, and when/if you get a catback get them to put a straight pipe to suit intbetween flexi pipe/cat. Should only cost $50 if you do it with the system.

But I have heard mixed reports about ebay headers just fyi, look for some mild steel ones? I think they have a better sound IIRC.

in the link in my previous post, with these extractors coming from america will they fit my aussie 4g94?

they look good but they are only 2" I would be wanting something a little bigger at least a 21/4"... the add does not say if it is for a auto or manual I would be asking that question too if it is a manual and you have a manual then it will fit...

there wont be much noticable change in power between a 2" and a 2.25" size will there? maybe a small note change? they are still bigger than standard arent they?

Being impateient and demanding is not the way to get people to give you advice and help you.
But im a nice guy so Ill spoonfeed some information.

4g94 header and front pipe will fit a ce with 4g94 conversion
the larger piping after the header will allow for more top end gains. if done incorrectly you will lose low end response and torque over a stock header.

Ive done them up to 2.5inch with no apparent loss in low end.
yes those headers posted have 2inch collector and front pipe to the cat.
I can sell the 4-2-1 header with custom front pipe utiilsing a choke and then taper to 2.25 or 2.5 inch.
The lazy method of just slapping a large pipe straight on the collector hurts low end because there is no exhaust gas velocity using a scavenging effect.

Im suprised no one as mentioned this point but the top piece of the header between the head and the lower front pipe is identical from the 4g94 and 4g93.
The part that allows for the 4g94 engine is only the length of the section connecting to the 4-1 oem header piece
I extend this section by 35-40mm and this allows the front pipe to fit like a oem 4g94 pipe. Thats why you may notice if you attempt to fit the 4g93 front pipe it will hit the oil pan. Pay attention to the angle and rotation of the flange. If you have a problem with this then you must do the modification of the front pipe on car.

There is no difference between the auto and manual exhaust components.

The header doesnt need to clear the block it must clear the oil pan.
And I dont get this straight pipe from the flexi to the cat nonsense.

help needed..sorry in advance for the novice questions but im stuck between a rock and some quick sand..

im putting a 4g94 into a 97 4g15 MT. The harness im using is for 4g93 ('97 or '98 but need to quadruple confirm..), 1.8L ECU.. Because its for a MT setup it should most definitely have the ECU and Trans Comp correct? '97-'02 MT all have the second comp from what i understand, and if it doesnt have the trans comp plug than its an '00-'02 AT harness right?
do i need to use the 1.5 or 1.8 trans comp?
Is it possible to run the MT computers on a AT harness?

any and all help is appreciated. thanks
