Brake Upgrades

I have coils.. what makes you think that they're so risky?! I think my ride is quite good considering... I just need better brakes with my improved performance around corners!

I thought you had springs tryg?

@Res Makes sense, the car is only going to be street for a while, at least till end of uni.

not sure which CH that you have so hopefully this info will help you out some... I have the CH with the MIVEC 2.4lt and have done a front brake upgrade only I got DBA slotted vented discs - 4 x114.3 I have the GSR twin piston caliper and EBC green stuff pads... the brake lines had to be replaced as the connections on either end did not match up to the hard lines on the car... total cost was nearly $900 (each brake line was $120 each)
If you have the CH without the MIVEC you can fit up the GSR converssion same as the CE using all the parts that is used for the CE swap but I am unsure as to the brake cable but finding a CH MIVEC with a cable intact should not be too difficult and I would not think that Mitsubishi would be wanting too much as for master cylinders just try and get a MIVEC one

Yeah i'm a CH without a MIVEC, I think in the end I decided to do the GSR conversion. I'll be PMing the person I'm buying the kit off first to check if it all will hook up etc.

fair enough... the rear hubs should just bolt up - I know that the hubs from a CH mivec will bolt up to a CE so if a GSR fits to a CE then the GSR will bolt up to the non MIVEC your only problem may be the handbrake cable

You talking bout a rear disk conversion yeah? That's on the back burner as stated earlier in the thread, since it would be semi for show, I'd just get the drums rebuilt and upgraded with better... pads?

would the rear conversion be the same for a cg vrx lancer?
would i need the complete back end setup off a 4 stud (disk brake) CH or would i be able to just get trailing arms, hubs, breaks and cable.
