Brake Upgrade

res hook me up, if u can get me a quote for everything needed for rear conversion, everything except calipers pads and discs,no biggie if you cant thanks

i'll have a look next time im at wreckers, but u kno how i hate rear disc conversions, i aint taking the parts off for you :?
so u want trailing arm with hub and cables?

RESEARCH FAIL!!!

Yes as others have just said the rear brakes are in fact 260mm, if you look closer at the size of the caliper it is a lot smaller than the front caliper as braking does rely on surface area, as well as other factors. So larger disc doesn't mean that the braking force is larger.

This ^^ except the surface area thing...

Friction is independant of surface area, therfore it doesnt directly effect the braking force, the benefit of surface area is that it allows better heat disapation and therefore maintains a higher coeffcient of friction.

I think you read it wrong. matty was talking about the caliper not the disc.
 
nope but if you find the parts to do it be sure to post up where u got em, cos mine "should" have been done a long while ago

tronda rebuilt his front caliper brake upgrade (did a DIY too)
so im highly doubt the rear differs too much from the front :p

Actually there's a big difference... namely the handbrake!
