4G15 > 4G93 / 94

if your going the 6a13tt, like jimmy said they run a single turbo setup. Its pretty tight in the engine bay, canabl was going to do it with his ce project.

id so love to have an intercooler sittin behind the mesh or something -_-

4G93 Turbo GSR Lancer $2000

would that engine be a direct drop in or would that still need a lot of custom fabrication of engine mounts n all that? :S ....also - would i be able to keep the air conditioning n stuff? ..... can i use my current gearbox / clutch or would i also need a new one?

and just out of curiosity, if its installed, would i have to get it engineered to pass as legal? or would it be completely detectable no matter what?

Heard back from Luis today, heres what he quoted me

thoughts?

"This will depend if you can remove your old engine and wiring off"

Luie giving an invoice. wow. Guess he's becoming more legit.

As for pricing what did he say for installation?

Yeah, its like he is making money on each part. Like 30 bucks for a top radiator hose.... come on. There like 10 bucks.

would the 4g92g mivec fit in a ce lancer? O.O im guessing all of thoes engines would require a different gearbox / clutch / pressure plate? :S

and i was thinkin, the price liue quoted - i can get the engine, wiring loom n all that for around 2 grand - but then lui's including new clutch, all the brackets, throttling cables, but thats an extra $1000 ur payin for that, can get the engine n loom n stuff in adelaide for 2 grand, but then id need a different clutch n all that .......and liu's price doesnt include installation

not sure that you can put a motor in your car that is older then the car itself, vheck that im not 100%

If you want something that can defiantely get up and boogie, and you arent afraid of spending some coin, then defiantely the 4G63T from the 4-5-6-6.5

If you want want to spend a little bit, then i'd probably go the 4g93 with a DOHC conversion, that was when you get over the NA power, the EVO 4-6.5 GSR stuff all bolts up (manifold and such).

Go 4g94. With the Dohc head.
4g93 and 4g94 are the same engine except the 94 has a taller block making it a 2L.

^^ learn something every day

I wonder if the 4g69 and the 4g63 have anything in common.... Hmmmm... stroke the 4g69 to 2.7L with a 4g63 DOHC head and 300degree cams and a t76 or GT35R something ........ Just drooling thinking about it

Not sure if they do or not.
But seeming as its from the 4G6x series the head will line up although you'd have to check the compression gain from the head swap to make sure it isn't going to be too crazy.

Also on the 4g94 note: The cam out of a 93 SOHC are a 1 stage upgrade. ;)
