CC engine compatability

as stated origonally, best cheapest most practical option is a 4g93 EFI
P-plate legal, cheap, plenty of spares, rather common engine to find, rather good power upgrade for cost ($500 or less)

ur going to be hard pressed to find a 'nice' 4g92miv these days for under $1.5-2k++

ah okai but would paying the $1.5-2k+ b worth the motor? like theres so much u can do with the mivec engines, n its a rather huge increase in power compared to the 4G15 engine

i wouldnt say its a huge incrrease in power but you will notice it. its only woth it if its what you want to do. with the way your searches have worked for you so far i dont like your chances of finding a 4g92

ahk well doesnt the 4g92Mivec engine come from a mirage? if so then i can probably get it out of one of them as me n my boss pick up 94-97 mirages quite often, usualy i jus take any spare parts that i NEED to put into mine off them, such as mags, suspension etc incase i need them later on, but if the mivec eng comes from one then ill rip it out n throw it in mine =D

Yes, but not in AUDM mirages.

So unless your boss is an importer, most will have the little 1.5L in CE configuration.

why not just go for a walk around your local wreckers, i bet you will find a decent engine there with no need to import

the closest wreckers that i actually trust is in tuggerah, i wont go anywhere else cuz tuggerah looks after me, they gave me discounts n everything on my last car, if they dont have it, ill go to the jap wreckers at tuggerah, i live in gateshead, i USED to live down the coast at wyong, now i dnt have a car thats registered, it makes it harder to get there.

Spend 3k and buy a nice EVO 1/2/3 halfcut or 2k for a GSR, that way u have everything u need, then buy my rolling shell for the rear parts

This, I found an imported CB lancer in my wreckers. Had a 4g67 in it. would be a decent step up from your little carby. and twin cam to boot!

I didnt buy it. I just saw it.

It would go for about $400, and you would have to pull it out of the car yourself.

Also, I know the engine has been pilfered a bit since then, Its all there, except the coil packs, and the rocker covers been pulled off.

Check it here.

They reckon its a 4G61, but that would make it a 1.6L and it says 1.8 on it, so im guessing its a 67.

you will have to do a computer any engine conversion you do, any carbied engine conversion you do wont really be worth it, unless its an old skool V8 or something LOL.

depends on what you want to do, can be quite simple if you dont care, you can leave the ECU in the engine bay if you want.

EFI (electronically fuel injected)

yes, u grab the whole loom and computer when u pull the engine out.
chuck everythign in your car, and atatch ur interior loom to the other interior loom.

its hard but EVERY engine conversion u will be doing requires u to install the new loom and a new computer...
