upgrading seat advice

I reckon it's too much stuffing around to get them to fit.

Another question, how would I go about getting accord seats to fit? Is there a universal bracket or does it have to get custom made?

first Evo, now Accord?
Your chances of getting the Evo seats in are higher than the Accord lol

Seriously. Evo 4-6, proton or gsr lancer seats. By the time you pay for a custom rail the amount you saved on the seats will probably be spent double on getting rails made. The standard ce rails are not even close to fitting the recaros. If you pull them off and have a look at them the standard ce bolt into the back rest where the recaros bolt into the base. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel and stick with what works.

I didn't know rails were that expencive to custom make. I thought they were like $50 to get made..

Reupholstering (depending on fabric, colours, style, etc.) can easily shoot over $500, probably in to $1000. Stick to what fits, as Ian said. Evo 1-6 should bolt straight into cc/ce, same with satria/m21 and GSR seats.

It was my understanding that all CC and CE seats are interchangeable without modification (bolt-in) apart from the rear seats of wagons and hatches (unless replacing into another wagon or hatch).

If Proton seats bolt into CC and CE, and evo 4-6 seats bolt into a CE, then it is only logical that Evo 4-6 seats also fit CC's. So there you go.

Try at least $1500 for Reupholstering, 50% more if you want leather or suede.

That said if I don't get them replaced I might pay the $150 to get the stiching in the back fixed.

Rigby can you keep an eye open for seats like yours, but yellow and black :)

Yeahhhhhh you're never gonna find any like that to suit a CC Lancer. Good luck buddy.

idk if there is a difference but what about the belt buckles. Do the stock ones still fit on the aftermarket seats or do you need to change the whole set up?

You can take off your belt buckle and swap it onto whatever seats you buy to match your seat belt. It's a 2min job. If you're lucky, some seats (cc and proton and GSR and CE apparently) just clip right into each other without having to change buckles.

I know we've discussed front seats to death but what about the back seats?
Does the same rule of front seats apply to the back seats?
Evo 1-6 back seats will fit CE's?

Yes. All cc and ce seats are interchangeable apart from wagon/hatch rear seats. Including proton m21 and satria.

Even with the cost of some seats I'll keep my eyes open for any bargains that come along, even if that means buying a whole car at some point and selling off the bits I don't need.
