Strut Brace Bar Thoughts - Are they any good?

One of my future planned upgrades/addition is to get strut brace bars for my CC Coupe.

Is it worth it and what are the upside and downsides?

I know the rear one will limit boot space at make it harder to get big things to go through when the seats are down.

At less than $200 each (for front and rear) is it a cheap and quick mod best left when/if you do suspension upgrades?

How easy are they to fit?

Thoughts anyone...

No downsides besides weight and space. Upsides are tighter handling not insanely so but they do help.
Skill level required to fit: null basically bolt on

very easy to fit, not really any downsides besides boot space for the rear
they are always good to have and dress up the engine bay/boot a bit, and make the car body more rigid which feels alot more stable in cornering

I also heard they help strait line stability at HWY speeds.

Wasn't sure about undoing the bolts at the top of the struts, I guess you don't need to jack it up or anything?
I'll work some into my budget when I do the suspension.

Everyone seems to be talking about the Whiteline ones.

Just undo the strut top bolts with the car on the ground, wont go anywhere with the weight of the car pushing down on the struts

Thought so.

Any advice on the best ones for the CC Coupe?
Which is the best sell to get them from, eBay or else where?
Also should you get front and rear at the same time?

I owe my life to my old strut brace

If I didn't have 1 when I had my accident, the whole strut tower would have ripped through the firewall and prob f my legs or body up, but instead the passenger side kept the drivers side from being pushed further into the firewall

woah.

As you can see the strut brace held onto my whole strut top and suspension

Pulsar?

Also. You *fudge*ing lucky bastard. You better be changing people's lives after that accident. You're obviously meant to do something very very important :)

Sorry about the accident, but good point about the crash safety.

Anyone tried doing a carbon wrap of the bar?

That was in 2005, 3 days later I bought my coupe, maybe that was the important thing lol
