Res' headlight build (wip)

fixed the Mk1 set up today, new bulbs, cos the old ones blew after 4+yrs of abuse

no physical updates on the Mk2 set, but i have been brainstorming alot, just waiting for $ for parts, need a set of re-co headlights cos i want them to be absolutle clean lenses and then a set of morimoto's from TRS, budget for the setup will be <$400 for a hardcore badass setup, vent, real carbon, angels... so i'll be cutting it close... but yeh wait on money for parts. but really not many parts to aquire for it to work

anyways pics of the Mk1 fix cos we all like pix

yeh yeh yeh, mk2 will have 4,300kelv bulbs.
mk1 can stay with 8Kkelv's, fixing the old set has made me want to build the new set so bad, i just imagine how badass they would look in black/carbon

had a little bit of inspiration do do a bit of exploring on the new prototype

i was reading back in my thread and i said something about how audi headlights the projector is offset to the outer side of the headlight and i thought that was cool
then something clicked in my head that i somehow didnt think was a good enuf idea before.

figured i have a really boned headlight im working on the prototye on, it will never actually be the final headlight case cos its lense is so fked and uncleanable
so i have no care what happens to this headlight really, so why not absolutly ripp it up and break it completely for the sake of learning and testing out a theory
so i did.

so the learn from this is.... that the reflector housing takes up fkloads of room, remove that and i now have a fair bit more room, and im not restricting myself to the orional mount point
which is good and bad, good because it means plans are much more open, vent can be bigger, projectors can be offset to wherever, can even fit quads practically with vent
downside is aligning the projectors and mounting them will have to be done completely differently if i go down this road

That would look mad dude, Doesn't look like there's room for a LED strip down the bottom though, and if you were to do this you'd have to get a custom reflector housing made?

I mean the thing it backs onto and is used to fill the gap (that's what she said) and keeps the projector aimed correctly etc?

nah i can work out some other sort of mounting easily enough and aim it correctly, wont be too hard
