power window conversion

I picked mine up from Abrower he got the set from a wrecked dohc 4g15 cc coupe. Will be getting mine installed once i get the coupe up n running ill let you know how I go
 
I've wired mine in myself it's a fairly simple install and a simple relay into the ign switch stops them working with the key out but i like that mine work regardless
 
Yeah the one thing I don't like about power windows is they stop when the engine stops, so you have to remember to put them up first. I'd rather have them wired so they work for a short time before the security system kicks in. Or better still wired to the remote locking so when you set the alarm the windows go up!
 
all possible. you can set a time delay relay and use that do as i did and wire straight to =12v (always work engine on or off) some car allarms support winding up the windows
 
Yep. Also, new universal kits on ebay are about $100 for two windows, may be worth it next to the $200ish stated previously for genuine used parts.
 
If your car is like mine the orginal loom did not have the wiring for electic windows/mirrors or central locking. I got complete doors/ dash and full wiring loom and just swapped it all. Cost 100 and 5 hours of my time.
 
I had central locking added when I got an alarm and remote access added, how do I know if my CC has the power windows (and power mirrors) wiring?
