I have a 300ZX TT, and I been on the aus300ZX.com.au forums for a while now, and my GF just bought a 2002 white CE lancer, 2 door.
She use to have an old CE sedan, it was all crashed and F'ed up, after many repairs I gave up on it, and it seems so did she
She had her heart set on getting this lancer and doing all the usually lancer crap (-_-') so I thought I'd help her get this thing looking better
We started with the usual, I ripped the trim and got some re-prays done. also blackened up the center console, That greyish color was ugly as hell...
Anyway, Looks like this.
After this was done, I fitted that dash mat, to hide moire of the ugly grey, that dash mat will be re done with some white trim, but not just yet.
I installed some custom speakers, a 12" sub and amp and ran some pretty purple wires all around the car so they cant be seen (pointless purple)
NEXT! I got some clear LED rear lights and fitted them in, shaved the badges, stripped the black windshield lining stuff to get to the shiny silver under it and I also fitted some clear side indicators, orange is ugly.
Got a white steering wheel, white gear shifter knob, gear shifter leather, handbrake and handbrake leather on its way and some custom floor mats..
She wanted racing seats originally, But I said no, that would be a stupid ass idea for her, But she does want some white seats...
I looked at converting the Lancer to fit some old 300ZX seats that I could re-trim, but that was too hard, and I've looked at just seat covers, but none seem to fit too well (no headrest on CE 2 door -_- )
So first question, where can I get some seat covers or some dimensions to make my own?
I don't really want to rip into her seats encase I mess something up.
Also Got some 16'' mags on it with lower profile tiers, while calipers and I blinged the engine bay a bit too.
Body kit is expected, but she cant decide -_-
So... Thats her Lancer....
Personally, I don't like them -_- Mainly because I'm from Rockhampton, and ever Lancer here has pods all over the door sill and dash, huge taco and big cannon muffler, and they are no faster than a rolling detached tier.
I'm a bit of a computer nerd and I will prolly be trolling round these forums a bit to see if anyhting pops up.
I work on my 300zx, so lancer mechanics are a piece of piss, ask any questions and I should be able to help.
If you havent seen a 300zx engine... prepare for a cluster f@ck.
