If you want to you can paint the pipe black or grey or something too.

if you paint it u will need strong paint, i painted my old one back in the day, did 3 coates and thought that was enough, while installing it it got all scratched up and looked not so nice
i used gloss black enamel with no primer if memory serves me well

my advice if u paint it
*use plastic primer
*heaps of coats of paint (wait for it to cure inbetween)
*if you go black, use matte, not gloss

what mods are you trying to do? power, interior, exterior, sound system, suspension?

need to have some kind of goal in the area you want to work on, then go from there. its a pretty open question :p

cheers for that, ill see if i can upload some pics after i finish it, and yeah it is a pretty open question lol i didnt really have a goal on the mods really, just wanted to see what mods you could do to anything (like the power, interior, exterior, sound system, suspension mods like you said), so any sort of modification will be helpful, as long as its not too expensive lol

Also you need to think about what and how you drive your car if you are into off street racing wether it is drag racing or circuit as both of these require different HP torque and suspension setups or if you are wanting to do sound off competition then you spend your money on sound deadening and sub boxes etc or if you are wanting a daily driven show car then you have to make sure that all the boxes are ticked...
You really need to have a solid idea as to how you want your car to represent you... and stick to it otherwise you end you with a half done car that really is just parts thrown at it and the car will not perform, handle, sound or look like it should...

And shop around for quality parts amazing to see many people throw dozens of parts at there cars and it does not work as it should or look as good as it shouldkeep it simple and effective functional

^ can this guy fcuk off?

listen jakey boy. people wouldnt criticise if you set some boundaries. you have to help us, help you.

what can you do to a lancer? go purchase need for speed underground. its a common car, you can do anything your heart desires.

so try and stick to these guidelines

EXTERIOR: do you want a body kit? new rims? respray? vinyls? window tint?
PERFORMANCE: stronger engine? exhaust system? change in air flow?
INTERIOR: neons? leather? bucket seats?

the list goes on and on...

the question is not what you can do, its what you can afford. and what you like

have a look around in the members rides to look what oth er people have done, and how much it cost them.

it would also help bro if you said what type of lancer you have, im guessing CE but clarification would be helpful. also bodyshape, colour, engine size.

have a little think about it all, have a look around, and when you get your new lancer, take some pics and make a ride thread. all the mods? lets cross that bridge when we get to it

Yea thats true i appreciate that, ill definately have to upload some pics of my ride when i get some spare time. I own a 2002 Ce Lancer Sedan, 1.8L, NF Metallic dark blue. Yea cause when i made this thread i actually ddnt think of like the different types of mods like interior, exterior, motor etc. Cheers for the advice
