how about look through the forum first.....? there's heaps of stuff on here. seriously...

Nice guys, seriously not everyone is a one post noob.

Hey mate, for mods it really depends on what your tastes are and whether you want performance mod or visual mods... If you want performance there are some guides on what mods are the basic ones etc. for visual mods ha ve a look through some members rides,.with visual it usually depends on your own taste

Thanks mate :) its good to see someone doesnt have to be soo judgemental. Yeah well im selling my 2002 lancer but im getting another one and the mods ive done to my one, i dont really want to do to my next (because there wouldnt be much point selling my car lol) but thanks to your advice i actually will lookthrough members rides, i didnt actually think of that because im still sort of getting used to this forum, cheers

Or have a look in Res's thread, While not a powerhouse, still pretty impressive

q_q i has no powa...

OT: good beginner mods are cold air intakes, not very hard to do, and easily under $100 on a good enuf home build setup, which will perform good and help get u used to tinkering on cars

yea aye, but what ive found is where is the best place to run the piping from to the filter ? Cause like the battery and all that would be in the way ?

run it wherever u want man... u think there isnt much room but really there is actually quite a bite once u get rid of the stock airbox

pvc pipe is good, altho not the nicest to look at, it does insulate against heat better, and is cheap for both bends and straigh bits in comparison to stainless/alum and silicone bends

thats true, well it looks like PVC piping for a CAI is the way to go, and its reasonably cheap soo ill give that a go, cheers for that

Yer what Res said, its heaps cheap compared to aluminium etc, and it weighs about the same.

If you want to you can paint the pipe black or grey or something too.

Post some pics when you give it a go. Its alwasy good to see what others come up with.
