Lukas coupe. Which amp and sub to buy ?

50ltr, that would be a vented box, no?!

Because I think 28ltr would be closer for sealed.... but I have been known to be wrong!

that would be correct tryg but the enclosure type ported/sealed would depend on your taste in music

yeah looks pretty good for price. and im not going for massive bass, just want a updated system thats clear. . going my own custom boot layout, hopefully with work, how much does mdf quater inch go for these days ?

No more than $50 a sheet at bunnings i dont think, If you have a joinery nearby go and ask them, I work next to a kitchen/bathroom/office fit out company, they get heaps of 18mm MDF free as it comes as protective layers (top and bottom) on there pallets of wood. They normally scrap it so they give it away to us.

i think im going to go with sealed, much easier to make haha . ! and 50$ is so cheap . thats good as.

im excited to make this boot layout now :D

I started with sealed, but ended up with ported..when I learned how to really tune the box...

All up to your taste and what works for your ears...

interested x2

Generally speaking, sealed boxes are going to give you a very punchy and tighter bass setup. On the other hand ported boxes produce a boomy sound. So sealed boxes are good for quick and faster bass hits, for eg, Rock music like Metallica that use a lot of double bass in their drumming. Rap/R&B music is usually better suited to ported enclosures. That said, custom designed boxes can change this a bit, but as a rule of thumb, this is usually the way to look at it.

haha :p
a sealed box is defiantly the best way to go for your first system unless you get some else to do it
or your like me who picks the hardest box to build for my first system

For the epic base line, what would be the best type? a ported box?

was looking around . so .

FUSION CA-AM41200 AMPLIFIER (4 channel amp) 150w x 4 rms at 2ohms.
FUSION CA-AM10900 amplifier (mono) 300 w rms at 4ohm
FUSION CP-SW120 12" Subwoofer ( 325w rms at 4ohm

would that work ?

will work, but i will never promote fusion
