Lowering via kingsprings

I have a weird noise now that i've lowered the front, usually happening on acceleration or deceleration. its like a buzzing sort of noise, coming and going. did you get that blacklancer?
hopefully it will go away when i get a wheel alignment...

Hmm a buzzing? Mines sorta like that usually on deceleration.. it did that to mine as soon as i lowered it.. and it became worse so i got it fixed.. but now its just the brakes.. I believe one of your struts or top pieces of the shock are out of line.. if you get it checked it will go away, just like mine.. Does your noise feel as though its coming from the suspension or brakes?

why not pull it apart yourself and see whats wrong? then u definitly know whats wrong, so if it happens again it wont cost money to get checked

just finished installing my rear springs now, and it seems to have gone away in the short 5 minute test drive. But it felt like it was coming from the suspension, definitely not the brakes.

damn installing springs in 40 degree heat sucks. this is like the biggest heat wave ever. 40+ for a whole week!

Trying to take the top hat bolt off my front shock but the shaft of the shock keeps turning with it! Nothing can hold it while i turn it as its too round and slippery, Did anyone else have this problem? i cant fit my new springs on until i workout how to get it off!

put car on the ground, with wheels on, not jacked up at all, all weight on ground

undo that nut on top completely, then jack car up and ur good

do not do while car is in the air as *poo* will go everywhere

thanks for the tip.
Upon further inspection, it looks like the bolt has been burred, urghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

i had that problem and paid pedders 50 bucks to undo that bolt and swap out my old springs for my new ones. took them 5 minutes and i was happy enough.

res that method would only work if you had spring compressors to put the new spring back on then you just install into car and do up that top hat nut again tightly when car is on ground again yea?

yep i called them up first to ask if they could do it and yea they could, doesnt take them long. i only have 2 jack stands so i took 2 in, paid them 50 bucks and they said bring the other 2 in later and we'll do them too.
dont expect your pedders to do the exact same thing this bloke just said 50 bucks mate and we'll swap them for ya
