Hello all im new to the forums and hopefully joining will help me to modify my ride now first question on mind is what engine can i replace this pissy lil 1.5 with ?? whether i should buy the block and build off it?? or buy complete?? please any information would be awsome

Best bang for buck conversion is. 4g94 2litre engine imo, or a 4g93 1.8l engine
And its also fffffairly striaght forward, whereas other engines are going to be a be a fair bit more money and work

Im actually just finished my 4g15 1.5l engine swap to. 4g93 1.8l, that was my basis swap, and now the g93 is stabalised and everything is worked out im looking at putting the 4g94 2litre block in it as thats a very simple swap from a g93

The 4g9x engines are also very compatible with each other, so u can have alot of different 4cyl engine styles
Can have 1.6l, 1.8l, 2l, then a choice of single cam heads, dual cam heads and mivec heads that are compatibe across the 3 different 4g9x blocks, not to mention a turbo head and setup that fits the 93 and could be adapted to the others ammong many intake manifold options

I think my point of compatability is made

yeh lol when i was putting them in was killing me marks would it be worth while putting a clear coat on??

4g15 swap to a 4g94 anyone got any links on steps for conversion or something about engine swapping still googling but if anyone has anything pls pm me

The 93t or "cm5a" is not an easy conversion, it is made easy if you have the whole frot cut including all the dahs, and both engine side looms, then u need to do some stuff with the gearbox and exhaust manifold and turbo to get it to fit a fwd gearbox

But there is a nice frontcut up here in qld going for $2800 if u have the dosh that is where i would start

right bit of work then well its on my year list but will start looking into it gonna organize to get my bike back on the road before dismantling the car lol im guessing all up it will cost bout 5grand??
