JDM Wheels on lancer .. Yes or no ?

Heyy all ! I've got a Ce 2001 Lancer and its not looking so bad right now but after seeing Civics and all the JDM cars around Sydney i was just thinking how it would look if i put a set of these

On my lancer then also get it lowered ? might sound stupid but its something different i guess and also blue and silver should go well :D ?

Just trying to picture how it would look got any opinions ?

TBH, i prefer the rims you got on there now.

Not a big fan of chrome myself. Tho the rims arent bad.
 
Thanks man yeah there not bad but there 18's ... and everytime i turn either the suspension or somewhere takes a big Chunk out of my Tyre so the whole left side of my Tyre is rubbing everytime i turn.. Thats why i basically need them ! lol

Or is there another way of making then not rub ?
 
I like those wheels but don't really think the old watanabe style wheels would look too good on the CE personally. More suited to Dattos or AE86's. Prove me wrong though!
 
Yeh they arent really lancer material IMO. Need more meshies or something like that I reckon. Also can you crank it up to 8 inch wide?
 
any jdm rims > your current ones imho.


but, XXR arent jdm...technically. they're reproductions of japanese rims

also, if you wanted to run those wheels, they're required a lot of low, flaired guards, oem kits, factory tailights etc. think johns car with the XXR's on.
 
Personally I like the JDM's, Very nice looking wheels, but would they look good on a CE... I dont know. I think they would great on a smaller car like a hatch..
 
Those look like wheels that should be on a Mini.
I say yes to JDM wheels, but not the ones you posted. Some nice 16" white rims would go well. Even a second hand of DC2R rims would look great

how much do you guys think i could find White diablos and where :/
and hornunga that would look crazy but then i'd have to get my gaurds rolled and all im trying to not spend more then $1200 lol.
 
Is there any type of Eleanor Copies ? that would look pretty crazy too becuase the Diablos are too common man there on every corrolla ! so yeah where do you think i can find eleanors with 4x100 ?

You wont find Eleanor wheels (KSpeed Biaggi) in 4stud or under 18"

Or do you means Eleanor as in Ford Mustang type? lol
 
xxr and rota make alot of very nice 'jdm' style wheels.

i got my set of xxr's for $350 from the US, took 1 week to get here....rotas can be had for $1100 w/tires delivered.

depends on what kind of style your after. to truely compliment a rim style like that, i needs to be really low, simple and just clean. usually. theres always exceptions :p

and the lower/even negative offset the better ;)
 
CEduced- how did you find them for $350 !! and where can i find xxr wheels for $1100 delivered ? also EVL20T sorry man i know but i cant really make up my mind lol like i went and got a quote on some nice white wheels they look like the drifting type :/ $950 with tyres. i just dont know what to get !
