Insurance Pricing

About $500 for third party fire and theft. Thinking about removing the fire and theft because the excess if it did get stolen would cost me around $1500, which is what I bought the car for. No point paying that much money to only get the same amount back + a claim which they will increase my premiums for. That's with just car. $130 a month for the cruze for full comp with racq, that includes roadside assistance and a free windscreen every year. That's in qld though, it'll go up when I eventually change my address back to nsw

shiet.. i need to look around. sahp $2200 full comp on a turboed lancer, insured for like 7.5k

with Shannons, for agreed value of $10000 for my CH at minimum age of 25 (even though I'm 21) I got quoted $385 for third party and $4676.23 for comprehensive

I actually found it more expensive to insure my CH than the Evo - CH was $100 mmore and only insured for $13k,

when i first got my car i payed $1.1k for comprehensive agreed value of 7k. it was under my mums name with me listed as a driver and it was with nrma. 12 months later i get a quote for the next year.. $1.9k and the agreed value dropped to 4.2k!
such a waste of money and i was only quoted more by other companies so i just got 3rd party with nrma for $650 which is still a mad rip off.
if i had the car under my name with comprehensive i would be paying almost $4k and they'll only insure it for 4.2..

No we need someone with a CH wagon with turbo upgrade!

I'll also be changing insurance companies in Jan, AAMI doesn't like mechanical mods apparently.
Just Car is the way to go. It's part of the Suncorp Group like AAMi but covers unlimited mods [strike]without you having to list them[/strike]

Actually just car does want everything itemized that's how they value you car and your premium. Race is shot for agreed value but will cover unlimited legal mods no list of them as far they're concerned your modded car is the se as a bog stocker.
yes true, sorry my bad. Either way they work out cheaper than AAMi, for me plus whenever I get the funds tsutsutsu down the track if its a private import, AAMI wont insure it.
