install headunit?

cheers very detailed explinations
ill have a go sooner or later atm poor weather condtions outside even though cars in a garage the lighting isnt ideal condtions an im not going to start trying tonight haha but seeing how im a noob an all if this *poo* starts to frustrate me when i get into it i might just
auto electrician bloke an cope the fee on the chin haha

man once that face is off it's very very easy install. the instruction will tell you all you need to know what color wires go where. i usually to find out which speaker is which use a 6v battery and some scrap wire and create a circuit the speaker wires are always the same colour one with a stripe to indicate negetive. stick one wire onto each terminal and the speaker crackles from there you know which wire to connect to. i might do a vid tomorrow since i gotta go and get my engine ready to send to the builder tomorrow. so if you wana hold off i'll show you in a very very detailed way.

but i warn you looking at my HU wiring will be intimidating there lots of it and it's a mess i didn't have the luxury of starting with a factory HU mine was already cut in bad places

yeah mate i plan on doing this in the next day or so im just getting to know my car an whats; what
where *poo* is etc ill wait if your going to be doing a video
i have a plug already for my headunit
so the harness is only thing i need unless i can crimp the orginal wireloom to headunit one as mentioned before
complete begineer so the more knowledge an patient i be i might save myself 100 bucks i or so nstead of paying the auto electrican for a 10min or so job

you can always patch the plug your given into the loom thats already there.

bonus will be if when you pull out the original hu there's either a section of wire with two plugs on it one end goes to head unit other goes to a larger white plug. or if the original hu has a section of wire running out to the large white plug your golden easiest install ever just take this section and wire your plug onto it. if not it's alil harder but still doable. its harder as you will be confined to the inside of the car = less room to work with.

i also have the factory wireing loom diagram but if you are unfamiliar with reading these it will be confusing

no idea whats behind the orginal hu in my car till i get the courage to have a go
if i manage to get into it when i try
ill drop a post or pm cheers again for the swift knowledgable replys an if you do a video even better for a noob to see how its done

In order of difficulty and expensiveness, assuming you have none of the require equipment:

1. harness $10
2. crimping $10
3. soldering $50+

Oh by the way, if you crimp or solder, you're gonna wanna wrap each connection you made in some duct tape. Just helps to protect your wiring from where you stripped it and made it more vulnerable. Only need to wrap it lightly once. This is an example of what crimping looks like:

Male and female for a reason, looks like a willy going into a *vegena*. Then you clamp it shut tight like this:
