Fuel economy's ew.

If your overly worried, an injector service does wonders, just having one slightly blocked injector will make your car run richer than it should. They are a bit pricey, but well worth it.

Seriously; this above ^ is awesome advice, but not the first thing to do.

New air cleaner, and is it sealed in correctly; yes - good.
New gapped-correctly plugs; yes - another good step.
Get an ohm-meter onto your leads, make sure they're all equally sending current; if not - replace.
Get a timing check done on your car.
Then, if all else is wrong, to to Joshy Morris' advice, a basic rail-flush of your injectors is good...or if the money is not as tight, a full ultra-sonic cleaning and flow testing is in order.

wow, i thought i was the only one with a squealing clutch.... it goes away after about 10 straight pumps :/

^mine never goes away
pump it all i like and it still sqeaks every pump.... yet another reason for a whole car refesher

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
blast the inside rubber boot/seal of the clutch pedal with wd-40 to stop the squeak, unless its outside the car?

^ tried it numerous times with not much success, squeak comes back in a few pumps
owell it doesnt bother me, and new engine will fix that

I find that noise is the spring on the clutch, i just hit it with wd40 and it goes away for about 6 months lol

currently getting 250km max from a full tank of fuel (city driving)and that's being moderate on the pedal changing gears at around 2500rpm.. though earlier this year in june i drove Brisbane to Sydney via Tamworth and managed 1150km from about 85Litres... 2 and a bit tanks of fuel.. full loaded car (i moved) lowered on KS superlows too lol faaark it wasnt too comfy on those country roads, bounce'n along hahaha good drive though i enjoyed the new scenery.

going by your avatar im keen to see a build thread

wow. 250km/tank is terrible for a CE. i get 400-450 every tank on 98 (sydney city bumper2bumper). highway driving i tend to get 600-700

woooow!! that's great fuel economy man, think it's time for a service.

new leads, oil, oil & fuel filters and spark plugs...see how it goes after that... 400km to a tank is excellent

^also run injector cleaner, or get the injectors profesh cleaned whichever suits your budget^

for your front bar, you might wanna try Fibresports. they have alot of stock, and very high quality stuff compared to whats on ebay.

thought i'd share here as well..

just filled up last night..

travelled 535.1 kms and filled with 40.151L = 7.503L/100kms

also 120kms of it was highway driving, the rest were city driving.. also had the A/C 90% of the time..

If my petrol gauge is right ON the empty line I only fill up about 34 litres, (and that would give me about 380-400k's)
How do you manage to fill up 40litres, isn't your petrol needle like way below empty?

Petrol light comes on with like 10-15 litres left in the tank still.

ive never seen my petrol light. the manual says light comes on with 8 litres left. so thats 42 litres used. but the most ive used is 34 with the needle right on empty.
