Get a Vortex straight flow box :) they about 400 bux and come with a remote so u can scilence it when the cops show up :)

vortex mufflers are over priced and are really no different to a regular muffler besides that they have a spiral set of blades in side
which btw do nothing for performance, its a restriction if anything

i wouldnt suggest them, if you want a dimmable muffler, xforce varex is the ones to go, same price range, but they actually do what they say
 
time to get rid of my cannon!
i'm guessing some you guys know the sound a magnaflow cat converter makes? its a high pitched ratlle noise and i dislike very much.
in the price range of 300 dorrar can i get a muffler with a more deep note to it that would over power the noise of the cat?
i took my resonator off, making the current (cannon) muffler louder (Y) but now the cat is even louder also :(((((
kinda keen on a twin tip at the end aswell!
 
i think you have to spend a bit to make an na 4g15 sound alright. just put a nice muffler on the back and hens extractors on the front, job done.
 
extractors done a while back.
i don't know brands though, magnaflow redback luckey .. which ones are good?
I don't want to buy one and not be happy with the note it produces so i need some opinions
if you guys can help me out
 
Here's my exhaust, I think it might be exactly what you're looking for (except mines a 4G93, 1.8). Just picked up the twin tip from SuperCheap Auto for $50 and got a 2.25inch catback for $300 using the twin tip I picked up earlier. I also have a video of what it sounds like (short, noisy, a lot better in person) but give it a squiz if you fancy it.

I'd be hesitant not getting a resonator as some are suggesting, they tend to smoothen the exhaust noise out and I think you'd probably not like the sound without one.

I would suggest either catback with a resonator and Lukey or Magnaflow muffler or a full catback exhaust so high-flow cat, resonator and again Lukey or Magnaflow muffler. It really just depends on what you want...

As for size go either 2" or 2.25"....
 
I have a magna flow highflow cat as mentioned, and 2" inch piping.
Might get a hotdog put back on just not sure on the muffler!
Will Any lukey or manga flow muffler sound better then a cannon?

Wha muffler are you using?
 
No worries. One day I'll get a better video of the sound this thing makes. Doesn't sound ricer-ish or Lancer-ish. It amuses me greatly :D
 
Yeah it sounds nice.
My exhaust sounds good to me already.
Just hate the noise I get from the highflow cat and over the look of the cannon.
After installing my CAI the note of my exhaust changed quite a bit also.
 
I'm over cannons as well. Everyone has them these days, I like things a bit more unique. Was considering dual twin tips from the single 2.25 exhaust but I have no idea what that would sound like...

Anyway, why don't you try a 2-2.5 inch catback? No high flow cats, no fancy gizmo's. And just stick on a tip that you like the look of. Might get the sound you're looking for.
 
Or i have a 2.5" varex muffler for sale :p make it qiete or loud whenever u want by remote ;)
 
It's like you just wait for opportunities to sell your wares and just pounce on it in any thread haha :p
