Ch velocity brakes.

And a bigger engine displacement, therefore more powerful? Oh amd mivec

the trim level has nothing to do with that, all my06 and my07 ch lancers have 2.4 litre mivec engines.
from es, to limited edition, VRX, velocity, aspire and whatever else.

So why would you say it's a waste of time converting anything from es when the vrx model and all other models are eessentially the same?

I don't get it. you basically stated my point in your question.
It's a waste of time converting unless you want 5 stud wheels, as the brake disc sizes are all the same, as is the calipers being all single piston.

Oh right :/ my bad, btw for the threads purposes, mods I've already done are lowered springs, re-sprayed the rims, and added a k&n unrestricted panel air filter. Things I've purchased and ready to put on are the timing belt, water pump, oil filter and oil, oh and a cheap gearstick which I remmoved because it increased the throw even more!

How's it going,

I would just like to know for my ch es limited edition (velocity) can you put on lancer ralliart brake callipers, discs, rotors etc.? Are they the same size? And if not will any mark of Evo brakes fit? And if not to that too, what is the best setup for street/track use? And what will give me the best handling results brake wise that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?
FYI: the post-05 CH VRX (w. 2.4Ltr), is considered a 'ralliart' model in the US. Though in Australia, Ralliart was officially introduced through the CJ models with a 2.4Ltr engine and TC-SST transmission.

ok I know this is an old topic but thought I would share my prevous experience with my old CH mivec... the front brake calipers can be upgraded to the twin piston FTO or Evo 3 or 4 cant remember which one now but it is the same as the CE upgrade as for disc I went the evo ones as they were at the time the same size shape etc. I did not upgrade the rears due to the level of difficulty of finding a disc suitable but that may of changed now I left the calipers as stock. and as for pads EBC Green for the front.

stud is 4 x 114.3

I hope this helps for future referrence

Do you know which model FTO i can take them off?

any FTO 'should' have them, its highly unlikely to find a de2a fto these days all but extinct, so basically find an FTO if its 5 stud it has them

Sorry for reviving an older thread. Ive been doing some researching with no definite answers. My question is, you can upgrade your current calipers to twin pot utilizing the fto calipers and same disk / stud setup. But what if someone had money (not me) and wanted to go bigger. Would evo VI, VII, IX Calipers fit with redrilled 4x114 rotors 320mm? Anyone know if the caliper mounting holes are the same?

If you want to change anything on these cars in the way of brakes change front calipers from single piston to the FTO twin

Hey There Chowetime, I have just grabbed a set of FTO twin piston calipers for my MIVEC CH. Have tried them on and they fit nicely.
($30 each at pickapart)
In term of grabbing brakepads, would I be best to grab pads for the Lancer or the FTO sizing? Or are they likely to be the same pad?
Have heard about the EBCs from a number of people now, so keen to give them try...
Keen to hear your thoughts...
Thanks :)

FTO brake pads to suit the caliper,, EBC Green are your best option they work great $30 for the calipers is a terrific price maybe invest in a brake over haul kit as well seeing as the brakes are more than a decade old also you may have to change over the brake lines too If I remember correctly I had to get some made up from HoseLink...

but glad to hear that you got them
