stop asking what us guyzers think, build your car the way you want it to look. if your worried about things being illegal you will never buld the car you want. everyone has illegal things on there car, some bigger than others but its sill illegal.

flat black bonnets are cool on race cars, not gloss black on your street car

There is a company in qld that is the only one company 'Blitz' that I know of that can make street legal cf bonnets. But it will cost you

There are other issues that make CF illegal and not just how it breaks only... How it was made determines how it will break too.

If you desperately want the CF look but not the negative response that comes with it why dont you skin your bonnet in CF?

The 3M stuff. It is not CF at all, some people seem to think that it is and dont know why. It is a textured vinyl and that is all. It is fake and if you put your car side by side against one that does have real CF you can easily tell which is fake. If you do want the fake stuff though, never get real CF as it stands out too much against the fake stuff. The fake stuff is good for little pieces but in larger pieces it looks strange

Why not just buy a large sheet of carbon, and skin your stock bonnet??

Won't be near the price of a carbon bonnet and it will be real.

i just wanted you guyzers opinion on it. yeah i have illeagle mods done to my car but a c f bonnet is a very noticable mod. also if i were to do it and have people laughing at me then i would feel like *poo* for doing it so thats why im getting your guyzers opinion on the whole issue

most of that is real cf, but alot of parts are just wrapped in 3m dinoc....i cant tell the difference...

im sure if the 3M carbon wrap was painted with alot of clear it might come up lookin ok

i tried a clear coat over my wrapped a/c surround, i only did 2 coats, didnt look to flash, nothing like proper carbon, i'd test it out on something small first, maybe do many more coats

ment do it with 2pack, nice and thick so i gives depth like real stuff

As CEduced mentioned, if you have a CF bonnet don't ever rear end anyone as you may end up with a very, very severe haircut. As in the final scenes in 7even "what's in the box?" severe.

dry carbon does not have clear coat on it, wet does (i think?)

only difference is the finish....

aka dry will go yellow if not taken care of, just like paint without clearcoat. where as wet carbon has a clearcoat, more than likely UV resistant
