Given the clip I posted earlier I'm not sure if the slight power gain is worth a K&N panel filter?

there is no gain to change a filter, unless your filter is restrictive
which the oem filter certainly is not

people change to branded filters cos it makes them feel better about their car and its performance, which is a fair call, feeling good and confident about your car is important otherwise you end up like me

there have been quite a few legit controlled tests done on pod filters specifically in the past, it showed all of them flowed pretty well equal
where there were gains were in the level of filtration and how much crap they stopped getting into your engine, apexi was 1st, k&n was 2nd, hks was near on last or 2nd last, and saas was last as expected
other gains are in the oiled/non-oiled filters, oiled filters will help protect against moisture and water for those that may run a low few cold air intake that may get a bit of mist or a few droplets near it

Stock is the way but enlarge the hole where it draws air from and duct it to the RHS fender well. The metal pipes soak in heat unless youre moving with under-hood ventilation

If I need a new air-filter at tomorrows service, I might just pick up a Ryco at SuperCheap.

The Cat-Back will be enough for this week.
