For less than $20 I'd just get a relay so they come on automatically when your engine starts and off with the headlights, they can be wired to turn off with either the parkers of headlights but I'd prefer they stay on with the parkers fo under ground car park use when you want to see you instrument panel.
I know getting DRLs is a bit of a *ank but done right they look great and are safer.
