Should I lower my 02 Lancer?

in all seriousness, if you really want springs the go with superlow kingsprings. it'll be a bouncy ride and pretty harsh when the shocks wear out so just a heads up. coilovers are cheaper in the long run

Yeah, coilovers are the way to go. Just not sure if I can really justify spending that much on a car I'm probably going to let go of in just over a year! After all, I finish my P plates soon and looking at something a bit, y'know... yeah.
Juggling between an evo 7 or brand new mazdaspeed3... speed3 grabbing my heart atm haha - not many around!!

hell yeah, if you're not planning on keeping it long then springs are probably the way to go unless you keep the stock suspension and put it back in before selling and then sell the coils off separately
liking that ms3 btw

... Thats like asking can a fish swim out of water?

But it will look awesome lower man! Go for it. :)

200 is good if you're not confident to do it yourself. i paid almost twice as much just to swap out my old struts for new ones and its more work if you're putting new springs over the existing shocks not just a simple swap

You will likely need a rattle gun too, otherwise you will need a breaker bar and to try hold the strut shaft in vice grips to crack the top nut. A beefy rattle gun makes easy work of that.

But yes, $200 is good for an install. keep in mind you will need a wheel alignment afterwards too.

There should be a closed thread called 'You must lower your car'. There is no need for discussion, let existing threads help you make the decision of the route you choose to take to lower it.

OP, lower it

I am mate, just waiting on the springs to come in now :D

I paid a shop (pedders) 50 bucks to swap the springs on all 4 struts for me (2 in the morning, 2 in the arvo. only have 2 jack stands lol). Then just installed myself. It's so easy to do yourself man.
