N/A evo

I really doubt it, there is no files on non australian delivered cars, you give mitsubishi a call and give them the vin and they will tell you it doesnt exist

Just give me the first 4 letters and i should be able to tell you if its genuine or not

Not a prob, just dont wanna see someone get ripped off, my idiot mate almost bought a nugget off carsales, the ad said it was a GSR Turbo lancer so he went down to check it out and lucky he got me to go with him... yes the lancer had a GSR turbo engine in it but it was FWD..... the vin number was a GSR but the body was a GLXi NA lancer, they replaced the firewall with a GSR and threw the GSR VIN plates on it lol

wow, now that is dodgey

Yup, i knew it wasnt a GSR even before he pulled up lol, the guy did a burn out around the corner coming into his street, and i was like hmmm only fronts are spinning lol

eitherway its definitely a 4g63 so im not overly fussed about it, but if it turns out to be the GSR it has the full evo interior and all, its a little scratched up but heck its 3.5k, im not fussed eiterway tbh

How about take pics of the car and post it up
If its an EVO it should have climate control, ariel on the back of the car amd not on the A pillar, extra bracing along the firewall and strut towers, V brace behind the seats, the rear seats dont fold down, front seats say recaros, front brakes are twin piston, its AWD, speedo goes to 180klm/h, rear fog lights, drivers side vent has fog light buttons, intercooler spray switch in centre console, all fuse covers are in japanese... might be more, thats all i can think of off the top of my head

he has been around many a lifetime + he owns one + its not that hard to remember that sort of stuff when ur passionate about cars

Been workin on lancers for 15 years now, and like i said before ive done over 20 conversions on them from basic twin cam upgrades to turbo conversions to forged racing engines :p
I own 3 Lancers at the moment lol and a Pulsar and an iLoad

lol i know all that and ive only been into lancers for about 10 months.

and for 3.5k, you should buy it and sell it for profit. definitely dont tune it for n/a, that's just mental! save a bit longer for an evo 6.

Yeah i was thinking about going to profit route, but i know the temptation to drive it would be too great for me to oversome so i know im going to drive it eitherway most likely haha

regardless of a silly idea or not, its an evo shell and engine for pretty cheap.
just be careful though, because 99% of the time, when things are too good to be true, they usually are.

tron said it well. if you know what youre doing with engine removals/fault findind etc, then yes it will be a great project.
if you dont, then dont bother because it will not only be a waste of time, but a waste of money.
if you were to buy it as is, its probably gonna take 18 months to restore it as a turbo and make it an absolute animal... meanwhile you could just use your ce as the daily
