This is a breach of personal private information, users have their own choice to show where they are, we will never force users to share personal information

Negative to the members ride seperation, this just encourages users without lancers to post in a lance/mirage based forum. No offence to em, but users come here to see/talk about lancers... thats why there is PerthWRX, OzHonda, SilWA, etc.

This is more a browser issue, if you just right click and go open in new tab, otherwise ctrl click.... And this is the standard for the internet.
 
I think town and state is no breach in privacy not like you can find someone with that info, unless its a 2 house town, in which case who the *fudge* would know where it is.
Adding to the location i thing an occupation spot would be good also

It techincally is... And whats the point when people just put false ones anyone if they were forced to. So why bother?

i dont mean down there street address, a state/ general aera such as NOR, SOR west perth, east perth, kal whatever, just a rough idea

your kinda contradicting yourself here skip, if we come here to see/talk about lancers why would we want other brands/cars junking up the members rides? which is meant to be lancer/mirage based?

It's still their choice if they want to put it up.


And I'm not really, we are a lancer forum, not general car forum. Plus this has been up for discussion before, and it has was a vote in favour of no.

thats my point.. if were a lancer forum, why would we want other brands in our members rides? frack them off into a seperate section were they are out of the way?
 
Sigh... It's not up for discussion. For the number of people we have that are actually still active (as little that I can count em on my 2 hands) there is no point either.
If we wanted them to "frack them off into a seperate section" we'd be better of banning all non-lancer ride threads and telling the to go away to Silwa or alike. But we don't.

ascot-celica
paulie-vr4 (which we all agree is a large lancer anyway)
and all the rest come here once in a blue moon.
 
Regarding the "general area/town" sort of thing, it is VERY easy to find out who someone is with less then a username.

Ive done it before, actually finding several users on Auslancer.com using their username and state alone, finding their facebook is easiest & usually the first result, and then its a very easy trail to follow to get more details.


Just some food for thought.

this is able to be changed locally, in your User Control Panel
 
Needs to be manually changed.... The forum software doesn't automatically roll out the changes to all users.
 
do we, the people have access to make polls in new posts / thread?

did we ever have them? because i swore we either used to or im just thinking of something else

if we dont, what are the chances of getting the ability in?
 
Click new topic and there are 3 tabs down the bottom and click on poll creation

iv only got 2x tabs, options and upload attachment
