I had to jump through a few bloody hoops to find this:

The OEM CM5A ECU mapping.... That noone picked up i didnt actually attach to my post in the first place lmao.

You can use this file on any stock plastic case ECU (!As long as you confirm the chipset type first!) to have the car run exactly like OEM turbocharged cars are

works pretty good for me... lol :haciendo muecas:

Probé con es brother lo descargué pero tampoco me funciona :pensativo:
Perhaps you could ask Luiso Performance or one of the tuners in Puerto Rico? there might be some variation between AUDM and USDM ecu's.

hmm yes that does like a lot of people in puerto rico. they like to keep their secrets. just asking the question; are you using the correct data cable and software?

What car is that ROM for? If you upload it here I can see what I can do. No promises though

Hey fellas complete noob here just turbo my n/a ce 4g93 and am trying to use tactrix and ecu flash to put a cm5a base rom onto my ecu having issues with definitions ecu flash doesn't recognise my stock read and the files I have won't work on ecu flash really really would appreciate some in depth help here would appreciate any help or advice

I've been searching around for ways to check for fault codes on my newly purchased grandma mobile CE Mirage 2003, I bought an OpenPort 2.0 but can't get anything. For reference I bought a clone VCDS for my Polo which I sold and it was a plug and play solution with heaps of easily searchable references online.

The mirage on the other hand is like searching in a cave with a blindfold on, occasionally stumbling on something useful (short pin 1 to pin 4 for old school count MIL flashes error fault check) other times hitting the most useless dead ends ("oh yeah there's heaps of info online, just search around" followed by searching around and not finding whatever they think they're citing).

I know in some versions (or all??) there's some other connector apart from the OBD2 port but idk what to do with it, I know the OBD2 isn't standarised as none of my scanners work (do I need to rewire anything?), and shorting pins 1 and 4 shows no faults. However, just like the Polo, no faults in the OBD2 scanners (or MIL flash in this case) doesn't mean no faults in the VCDS scanner (or in ecuflash or whatever software (i.e. manufacturer specific codes are usually pretty well hidden)). I'm replacing a bunch of two decade old parts, so while I'm tearing the car apart I wanna make sure I don't miss something that'll have me kicking myself down the line.

Anyways, if someone could *link me* or *forward me* to a comprehensive tutorial on using openport+ECUFlash or whatever method to read fault codes (at a dealer level or equivalent) on the CE series of mitsus. Preferably a tutorial that explains everything not just "oh yeah plug it in and click read" (yes ive tried that but the supported list of devices on ecuflash are all labelled EVO so a bit of a "which to click or not click" and none of them worked anyways, and something about turn on the car just as you click OK and its like rather than playing with my cars computer, best to ask for help from someone that knows that they're on about), that would be grouse.

Cheers

Hey mate, the Mitsu’s are very UNLIKE euro’s like your polo. If there is no light, there is no code. Battery off and on is sufficient to fully clear all stored codes in these cars too!

I know you just learned otherwise with VCDS, and trust me I get it. The euro stuff has better oem level equipment, so the copies and aftermarket solutions are also quite good.

The extra connector you’re talking about is for reflashing the ecu only.

Bummer evo scan isn’t working for you, it should absolutely pull up some basic data. Have you tried any modern snap-on scanners ect?

Let me see if I can recall the guide for bridging the obd pins…

This a one should work now

I believe you need an old scan tool that reads MUT 1 or 2. They were dealership specials. No idea if a newer MUT 3 tool will work.
