Hi Guys
I am just new to this don't really know what i am doing in the Lancer scene it is very exotic to me.
I previously had a 1972 HQ Holden Ute which i have done up and now just sold because damn a straight 6 202 red engine can go through some fuel. especially now that i am driving to Brisbane from Hervey Bay (350KLMs) once or twice a week fuel is murdering me.
So i have recently sold the old girl very reluctantly and now looking for a lancer been perusing car sales for a while now and have found a few options considering i only got 6 grand for my ute.
One option i really liked was this, http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/pri ... e&__Nne=15 (dont know how i should post it properly, sorry).
Coming from very classic cars i do not have a clue how this car will handle the long trip each week to Brisbane on fuel and reliability wise. Secondly, i have read up on them and every body seems to be saying they are fairly undernourished being only the 1.5l engine. what mods for 1grand all up will keep the fuel economy down yet still give me a bit more punch. or would i just be much better looking for a bit newer 1.8l CE.
Sorry for the really long post it is my first go at this.
Any help would be appreciated,
Brandon
