I don't think you even used the term correctly, it pertains differently in today's world, where goods are sold at a 'merchantable quality', if you buy unseen...different story. They give us pictures and a chance to communicate about things first... Hence, Caveat Emptor is not really the appropriate term...

So, just because you had a bad experience, that basically means their whole system/site is fraudulent or somehow flawed...?

Don't tell me to chill out, relax or anything else.. certainly, don't get prescriptive saying things like I freaked out or anything else.. You don't need to tell a guy of my age ANYTHING.

Nemo me impune lacessit

Buyer beware? You know...be cautious of what your are buying. Please show me where I said the entire site is flawed or fraudulent? And yes, you did overreact. I simply posted a simple warning of "buyer beware" directed at everyone, not just you and you did the standard 'hop on your soap box blah blah blah' righton champ....Carry on with your foreign trading

You don't have to worry about us, but thanks for the sentiments... I have been doing it a lot longer than most... I am a big boy now and backed up with not only the smarts, but the business skills...

It's a good bet, that if others don't want to...but need the stuff.. there will be others who are willing to assist.

So you can be assured, that I have heeded your worldly warning and am ever-so appreciative.... feel free to keep out of my business.

Alibaba, its eBay for suppliers in sorts. I use Alibaba, thats where my seats came from  The company I dealt with are pretty good, they were upfront and honest from the beginning.

With the headlights, I think one of them you can buy in a smaller amount of 10 pairs. The individual buy in price is higher but I think one would struggle to shift 50 units of the things especially in Australia... Ive seen the headlights your talking about though, they also have a projector set that has a lower min buy in too.

Actually, the headlights Ryan and I are speaking of are not available for less than 50 units... those others I showed earlier are fog lights.. not the EVO X projector headlights...

@Ryan, I had a communiqué from the seller, he is in Singapore (which is good and he is Malay, not Chinese = even better!)

I am trying to talk him into selling me two pair, as evaluation. Then I would buy an additional 50-pairs if they meet said evaluation. Let you know how it goes...

Even put these up for $250-300 on eBay and you'll make a killing I reckon! Hopefully he gives you an evaluation pair, I wouldn't personally be too keen buying 50 without seeing a pair for evaluation first myself!

I certainly feel the same way. But I asked for two. Because I suggested to him that I want to try it on both the VRX and an ES.

I will wait for his reply. But, if all goes well, I will actually buy 50 sets.. would only be around $3k and yes, I am sure to get back the money, at minimum.

Tryg Imports - All your CJ parts for cheap.

Trust me, I have thought about it... I would even head over to Johor Bahru and visit the big wholesaler there... talk-the-talk and bring back half a container load!

They have lights, pressed-steel EVO X replica bonnets, real Bride seats (for cheap), Recaros, lots of 'f a r k l e' !

Dont knock the Chinese suppliers, they not all bad. My one is a good one

Something I learned long time ago was that if you had choice of Chinese or Taiwan manufacturer you go with the Taiwan guys as its a big thing if they take business away from their Chinese equivelant and less likely to get dodgy quality from Taiwan too.

I bringing in some parts for the prototype intakes soon so if you both want any parts to do with intakes let me know so only one lot of import fees gets paid

Taiwan is also supported by the US, not just militarily, but also a majority of their tertiary education institutions are supported/subsidised by the US. Large American manufacturers are in Taiwan, such as General Electric (lots of their military systems are built there; radars, sonars, antennae)

I agree, Taiwan has very very high standards, most of the mountain bikes we ride, car parts we buy etc..all come from Taiwan.

that is a great business opportunity tryg good luck with it hope it works out for you.

i would love to do something like that myself

Yeah, thanks... But I think this has been taken well off track... This thread was opened to allow CJ owners to view Functional Sparkle for that model.

I hope the random discussion has been fleshed out enough, for now!

looks pretty awsome, u looking at getting one of those down track when u replace your kenwood?

no... I will just get another Kenwood. But, my budget is radically different to others, that was just a good option. I think I would even buy that to sell in the car, to keep the Kenwood.

Did did someone say EVOX replica bonnets

Ummm.. I tend to agree with you Dave, hence why I have the Kenwood DDX8034BT GPS. But, I think the latter Yumcha stereos might be okay to swap out the Kenwood and sell with the car!
