NICE! the 4G69 has such an awesome sound, also has awesome torque. i must admit it does sound alot better than my SR20DET.. :?
must be really quick in a CE lancer, being a hell of a lot lighter than the CH

me thinks someone on here shud do it :p
 
It's been done for ages, seen those pics and some others took ages to find. there's so little info on what's needed. Here's a parts list of what I've been told.

4G69 engine and transmission
4G93 transmission mounts
EVO 8 engine mount
EVO or equivalent throttle body
Possible EVO manifold
Either the gearbox internals of a 4G93 or driveshaft inners from the 4G69
If you want to use the fly by wire throttle then you have to get all the parts, pedal ecu etc.
You'll need to either reflash the ecu or get a stand alone

I thought about it but then thought about the cost and then if it doesn't bolt directly in or if it would end up with the car off the road for too long. Drove a 4G69 at work the other day in a manual and I must say it was rather lacking, may have been because it's a slightly heavier car or whatever.

Interesting.. how difficult would you assess this is for a person who does not want to pay workshop time though?
 
there are a few more parts that you need and need to modify.
you need to modify a 4G93 cam shaft cylinder to the same length as a 4G69
also need to get a 4G64 or 4G63 crank sensor wheel
4G93 crank shaft sensor
4G93 cam sensor
you can use a 4G93 engine mount but you can turn it upside down but you can only use 2 bolt hole to secure or a evo 8 engine mount but you need to shave 1" off
use the 4G93 gearbox mount
modify the 4G93 injector harness so it has 4 individual packs or reduce the coil packs on the 69 engine from 4 to 2 easier to do the first
you can use the evo intake manifold but it will need modding to fit correctly
evo 7,8 or 9 fuel rail - this will bolt up directly to a 4G69 manifold
and pretty much any size t/b will bolt on just need to make sure that you get one that fits up the TPS look for the evo 4,5 or 6

other extras to get could be adjustable cam gear, under crank pulley, rising fuel pressure reg,
all of this should give you approx 170hpatw
get a MSD RPM modual to actiuvate the MIVEC
reflash a pre 2001 ecu
