I believe theres a few people that are doing carby setups on LS1 engines (Holden 5.7L). Massive up front investment of cash and tuning, but power-wise they can keep up with injector systems. At the same time, they need a lot of money thrown at it to keep the carb making as much power as an injected engineless efficient but things were so much easier when we just had carbys and a distributer to deal with! Oh for a pair of SUs' or 2 twin choke Webbers!
Wonder how the present 2ltr engine would work with a pair of Webbers?
Wish I had the cash flow to try it out, sheer interest,or just for fun!
Would still have to have the ECU look after the rest? Hmm
Nah mate. Triple webbers. Like my dad had on his eh holden. [emoji14]less efficient but things were so much easier when we just had carbys and a distributer to deal with! Oh for a pair of SUs' or 2 twin choke Webbers!

I, for one, am so glad that carbies are long gone. In my lifetime of cars Ive had twin solex's, webbers, hollies and they all were a freaking nightmare. I don't think at any stage that they ever stayed "perfect" for more than a month. If they were ever perfect at all. In my experience anyway. Long live Fuel Injection.
