Wiper switch upgrade

So, I know only the MR's and some GLXi's have the wiper switch where you can rotate the end of it (like the headlight switch) and that changes the timing on the intermittent speed, I think??? Well I want it, simply because I don't have it so I wanted to buy this.

Now first of all will it work? I'm thinking it will because it's the actual switch that changes the wiper timing ect, therefore installing this new switch will give me the function?
And more to the point, how would I install it? I have no idea how to take off the steering wheel (if I needed to?)

pull the old one off and put the new one on, same way the old one came off, just like any swap

I'd rather just buy this from eBay, easier it comes straight to my door. Don't have much time to go wreckers hunting now either.

And yea I could try find an evo/gsr one but I've no idea how to connect up a rear wiper.

And hopefully I won't have to pull the steering wheel off to change just the the stalk. We'll see I guess

Did you buy this - it is a direct swap just remove the top steering colomn cover undo the two screws unplug the wire loom attached at the rear and the little single wire and pull outwards - then do the reverse for installing remembering to connect the little single wire.

It is a easy swap and is compatable over all CE lancers done this swap on several cars

$35 is a good price

Yea i bought it 2 days ago so it's on its way.
It will actually be very useful for me because the sort of rain Perth gets is usually very light. There's been a few times where i wished I could adjust the intermittent timing.
